I bought this because it seemed to be the standard that everyone uses for jewelry applications (setting stones, gluing cabochons, etc.). I have tried it for several different things including plastic to plastic, metal to plastic, and metal to metal.
While it is FAR easier to use than the other glues I'm currently working with, it's just not strong until it's had at least a week to cure. It was only after giving up after it failed to hold things after 48 hours, that I discovered a month later that now the piece was adhered solid. So a little experimentation, and this is my conclusion. It's not like I live in a humid environment it's very dry here. It also seemed to help to apply a THIN layer of cement to both sides to be bonded, let them sit and wait until tacky, and THEN put the two pieces together. Kind of a pain, but it helps.
Pros:
-low odour
-doesn't stick to skin
-amazingly precise tip
-good price for amount of things you can glue with one tube
-overall extremely easy to use
Cons:
-very slow to set up (give it a week min, 2 weeks better)
-overall not as strong as one would expect
I'd like to test it for strength as well once fully set, but lack the equipment to do a good job of that. If you need AMAZINGLY precise needle-fine tip, low odour, and forgiving for applications that WON'T be under high stress, then this is an excellent product. If you need something stronger (like to hold a necklace bail or attach a heavy cab to a flat back), then I would suggest going with something different.
