I have owned a Diamond for a little over 3 years. I had the SE before that, so Viking machines are not new to me. I wish I had kept the SE. At least it sewed without problems. The Diamond wads up thread in the bobbin or on the bottom of what you are sewing. It breaks thread and the thread pops out of the takeup level (even with the new update). I took the machine in for servicing and hopefully help with the problem. I was charged $99 and one-half hour after getting it back and sewing on it, the exact same thing happened again. I religiously keep the machine clean and check for any threads that might be caught in the bobbin case because I was told that could be the problem.
In the middle of an embroidery, it skips stitches or again wads up thread on the underside.
I have found the dealer to be of no help at all and calls to the district office do no good either. I was told I could ship the machine to Tennessee and hopefully in 6-8 weeks, it might get on the bench. I can get no help at all to solve the problem. I was using the machine almost every day, but have decided that since I spend more time trying to get it to sew than actually sewing, I have gone back to a 50 year old Pfaff which sews like a dream. Why is it that you can pay $8,000 for a machine and then get absolutely no help at all.
