Ruffler Fits Most Low Shank Models (55705) (086742-P)
Was looking for a ruffler foot for my Singer Esteem II, and was disappointed that the Singer site did not have these for sale, and even their directions on finding a vendor were vauge. Trusty Amazon.com to the rescue. I'm a novice sewer, so I almost sent it back, thinking it didn't fit my machine (I was a little put-off by the generic box). But, after finding the pdf instructions on the singer site for their ruffler foot, I figured it out. (You have to unscrew the (um, foot-holder? the screw is on the left hand side of the machine) to attach it. It cut my baby blanket sewing time by hours. (part of that is that I'm a slow sewer, the other is that this is one of the best inventions ever!). Very pleased with the product.
