But as a frantic mother who needed to make her daughter a "coif" for school Colonial Day, this machine, found at AC Moore crafts, saved my life. For someone who's hands never touched a sewing machine before, it was easy enough to figure out how to use.
Despite coming un-threaded here and there, it stitched up a slightly messy and un-even little white cap with hems, that my daughter---who knows how undomestic I am, proclaimed "great".
Will it make a dress? Probably not. But I look forward to now being able to hem kids pants that are too long for them. :)
