We use these trimmers to cut asphalt comp. shingles (not paper as they were designed for)as part of our QA/QC so yes we "abuse" them daily. A local industrial knife grinding company is able to re-sharpen them a couple times before we have to scrap them. These trimmers have been the best ones we have used so far.
