It is amazing how quickly you become dependent on some things. One of the things I seem to be unable to live without is a three-hole punch. I have a lot of binders at home and work where I keep various files, and a three hole punch is essential.
Three hole punches come in a variety of styles. I have tried low quality three hole punches and have been disappointed with how quickly they seem to start binding up, or the cutter gets dull. On some, the fence that sets the size of the paper either can not be tightened, or is so difficult to use as to be impractical.
This three hole punch has punched holes in thousands of sheets of paper and still seems to be as shape as when I first purchased it. While it takes more force to get through a lot of sheets, I am sure that I have stretched the limit of the advertised 32 sheets of 20 lb. paper.
There are many three hole punches available. I know this particular punch costs more than some, but it may be the last three hole punch you ever need if you are buying it for home use. In the office I think you will find it outperforms and outlasts many other hole punches. I recommend this hole punch highly.

This is a really cool cartridge and there are a lot of different possibilities of items to cut. I was expecting to use it all the time, since I make a lot of cards, but I have only used it three times. The images are really cool, and the phrases are cute, but I find that they are not things I will use very often. I'm still glad I have it, and hopefully I can get some use out of it soon!

My Singer Embroidery & Darning Foot arrived today. I had anxiously been waiting all week. I could not have been more disappointed and frustrated with this seller when the part arrived. It arrived in a plain baggie. No, unfortunately I'm not kidding. It was supposed to be 'new'. I hardly think Singer would send something out in a baggie if it were new. Not only that, but the part doesn't even look the same as the one pictured. I made sure the part I ordered specifically stated it was compatible with my Singer model. What arrived has some big hard plastic part attached to it that makes in not compatible with my Singer. At first I thought it was just some protective cap, but no, it is not. I am so mad right now. I was looking forward to spending my holiday weekend quilting. Now my plans are ruined. The company, Metropolitans Warehouse on Amazon Marketplace, will probably expect me to pay the shipping charges to return it and a restocking fee.

These bobbins came in a tiny plastic bag. Generically packaged, no name on the packaging whatsoever. It is very clear that they are obviously OLD, USED and REPACKAGED. They are definitely NOT NEW. They have scratches all over them and appear YELLOWED AND MIS-SHAPEN as well. I would not order these if you want new, unused, Singer bobbins, because I can GUARANTEE you these are NOT SINGER bobbins.
I did order this style (below) and they came in a SINGER package, NEW and were definitely NOT curved in appearance, yellowed and scratched. If you want NEW REAL SINGER bobbins, buy these more expensive yes, but in the long run, you may save your sewing machine from a breakdown.

I love my serger Janome MyLock 204D. Never had a janome before but after reading lots and lots of reviews I went ahead and purchased one and found that I am really a big fan. I sew A LOT and this little machine is easy to use, great size, decent price and is a work horse. Would recommend to all.

I have used several machines recently trying to find one to fit my needs. I'm not an experienced seamstress, but I've been plagued by less than adequate machines. Problems with tension, feed systems, bobbin threading, enough to make your sewing project frustrating.
From the box, this is an easy set up. Learning to thread the needle and wind the bobbin took less than 10 min. The Manual is very detailed and easy to follow. Take the extra time to read through the manual especially if you are new to sewing, it tells you which pressure foot to use with what fabric, it tells you about the stitches and which fabrics they are best for. This is easy enough to understand for a beginner.
First go at a straight stitch I had a perfectly straight line without touching the fabric. The decorative stitches are beautiful and with the lock stitch function easy to give a professional finish to.
I highly recommend this machine!

Over all I am pleased with this machine. It was a gift for a friend who I am teaching to sew. One thing I am disappointed in is their stitch description for straight stitches. It is very decieving & caused her a great deal of frustration & discouragement until I figured out why.
It is NOT accurate. They give 3 pictures on the machine with A1 A2 A3
The A1 photo shows a stitch that appears to be a nice stitch for regular work, when in reality it is a very tight stitch, barely moving the needle. When she tried to move use it the needle would jam down into the machine & she would need to wait for me to come back & take it out. This happened 3 times, I live 30 minutes away, so could not always come right back.
It is A2 that is your standard stitch, used for most items. The book does not explain it any better. Once we figured this out, all is fine & we are very happy with the machine.
Sometimes, shortcuts are NOT the better way. They need to take a few minutes & truly explain their machine accurately & in detail. There are a lot of people coming back to the old arts, Janome is a good machine. I have used mine for many years now. This is why I chose it as the brand to gift to my friend. I would recommend it again.
