This package of 15 zippers is a great buy, and in my opinion the 4" size is just right for many applications. (It's the zipper itself that is 4"; the total length is slightly more because of the head and tail.) In the package of 15 zippers, there was a nice assortment of colors--about half or slightly less were lighter colors (blue, lavender, pink, beige, light green, etc.) and the rest were bright colors (orange, red, burgundy, purple, hot pink, bright green, yellow, etc.). There are no white or black; those can be bought separately if you need them.
Fabric stores usually don't stock zippers smaller than 5", and in attempting to find a smaller zipper, I've tried "doll zippers," but they are too small for most uses--usually only 2" or 3". The 4" length of these zippers is about the width of an adult hand, so these are perfect for pockets on (or inside) a purse or tote bag. They can also be used for coin purses, cell phone cases, and a variety of other similar items. The coils on these zippers are nylon and sturdy (similar to those usually used in clothing), and the pull is metal.
I love the colors! All you need is imagination to use them in inventive ways.
