I bought this item to use for flannel board presentations for AWANA council time. It works well for me. It breaks down easily and the pieces fold away neatly to a size that is easily carried and stored. I am very pleased with this easel and can wholeheartedly recommend it. Please note however, that 10 pounds is all that the plastic arms can hold. I doubt I would've name it "heavy-duty" because of this. Shipping was very quick. The item was delivered within four days of the order placement! I would definitely buy this easel from this company again.

The machine pictured is not the latest. The latest version have a blue swirl on the side, also make sure its a new machine and not a refurbished. I have been doing months of research on machines and this one always came out on top. I am not sure but the pic is definitely not the newest edition and the seller says its "factory serviced" meaning that the machine was returned to the factory due to damage received in shipping. I needed a free-motion foot for my Pfaff. This came up as working and the price was outstanding. When the foot arrived I found out it didn't quite fit. First I had to bend the pin holding the spring as it rubbed the arm. Next I attacked it with my rotary tool and sanded off a section from the top which had prevented the foot from standing vertical. I still love it, and the price. One designed for my machine was tripple the cost.

...the paint or whatever the coating is comes off and leaves the cutouts on white paper a coppery yuck. I tried washing them, rubbed them down with rubbing alcohol, it doesn't change a thing, paper looks dirty.

If you have noticed the same problem with other Spellbinders dies, PLEASE contact Spellbinders and complain about that. They claim that nobody in the whole wide world has mentioned anything like that to them about their dies, but I read reviews and know that others are having problems since the dies are made in China.

I'd be a lot happier with this die if it weren't for this ugly stain which ruins expensive card stock. I am about to kiss Spellbinders goodbye if this continues. These are expensive dies, yet the quality has gone to shoddy at best.

Update, June 2013:

Spellbinders has acknowledged that there is a problem with their dies leaving unsightly stains which is very noticable on white and light paper. They are looking into what is causing this and hopefully fix it soon.

This is a great device for the money. There has been some comments about the lack of finish in obscure parts of the table. In fact they 'go away' when one gets and installs an acrylic form fitted insert. Such (insert)is almost obligatory for best function like sewing ( just a fer instance ).

This sewing table is very well built, for the money. While not many favor particle board it can be lived with if one realizes that it is not to be danced upon. The steel tubular frame is well executed and most sufficient to provide robust support and give long life. The height adjusting insert is clever enough,

it may seem basic but in fact is very functional and permits both fine and gross adjustments.

The next step in the sewing machine table hierarchy was a bit shocking to me. I did not find a middle ground and after looking I ran over and patted Ol' Gidget2 and told it how wonderful it was.

For 180 dollars I found no flaws. There are other Gidget models for less money and if you have a sewing machine with a foot print not large than the Brother PQ 1500 or the Juki TL series 'class' they will be even better as they will fit so close ( their insert/opening being considerably smaller ) you could successful avoid the 50 dollars + S&H for a fitted acrylic insert.

Husqvarna Viking Designer Diamond Sewing Machine with Embroidery

I have owned a Diamond for a little over 3 years. I had the SE before that, so Viking machines are not new to me. I wish I had kept the SE. At least it sewed without problems. The Diamond wads up thread in the bobbin or on the bottom of what you are sewing. It breaks thread and the thread pops out of the takeup level (even with the new update). I took the machine in for servicing and hopefully help with the problem. I was charged $99 and one-half hour after getting it back and sewing on it, the exact same thing happened again. I religiously keep the machine clean and check for any threads that might be caught in the bobbin case because I was told that could be the problem.

In the middle of an embroidery, it skips stitches or again wads up thread on the underside.

I have found the dealer to be of no help at all and calls to the district office do no good either. I was told I could ship the machine to Tennessee and hopefully in 6-8 weeks, it might get on the bench. I can get no help at all to solve the problem. I was using the machine almost every day, but have decided that since I spend more time trying to get it to sew than actually sewing, I have gone back to a 50 year old Pfaff which sews like a dream. Why is it that you can pay $8,000 for a machine and then get absolutely no help at all.

Paasche AEC-K Air Eraser Kit

This kit comes with (almost) everything you need to get started right away.

The thing I had to supply (besides the air compressor), was a Male fitting so I could attach/detach it to/from my air compressor easily. But, that's neither here nor there considering there is no way the company could package the 100's of possible connectors. I am only stating this so you know when you purchase this, you may want to invest in one.

Anyway, I plugged in my air compressor, cranked it to 65 PSI, poured in the powder and away I went...

What makes this kit ultra-cool is that it comes with a moisture filter built in to the air line. This is *critical* when working with that fine powder. If you don't have a filter in-line, then you will clog up constantly because of moisture in the air tanks.

They literally thought of everything with this kit. From a mouth/nose mask to the little wrenches to help take things apart.

The one thing that would make this kit 110% complete, would be to supply a few pipe cleaners so you can clean your tool out when you are done... but, I am just one of those crazy neat-freaks when it comes to my tools. I don't know if you absolutely have to clean it out or not.

Anyway -get this kit if you are new to the business. Within the first 5 minutes of getting the kit opened, I was etching metal, glass and plastic with absolutely no problems with 100% ease.

IMPORTANT FOR ALL AIR ERASERS: Do not forget to put on a mask and safety goggles... this powder goes everywhere. It will bounce off the material and right in to your eyes. Don't do this in your living room either. It makes a mess.

Prewound Bobbins by Threadart - Plastic, Paper, and Sideless

I do machine embroidery, so I use a lot of bobbin thread. If I buy a spool of bobbin thread and fill them myself, it's possibly a little cheaper, but it's also a lot of wasted time, and the simple fact is I cannot wind them as tight and fit on as much thread as they can industrially. Prewound ones save a lot of time and honestly if they work out to costing more it can't be more than a few cents, so why not? When I first discovered these particular ones, my old machine didn't much care for them so I never bought them again. When I got my new embroidery machine in July of 2012, I was having all kinds of issues with thread weight and texture -if it wasn't just right, I would have all kinds of tension issues. In the midst of experimenting, I ran across the last few of these bobbins that I still had on hand and tried them.

FINALLY something that worked, no matter what type of fabric, thread or style of stitch I was using. The only drawback to them is that they don't have the cardboard sides, which actually works better in my machine. If I use the style with cardboard sides, the machine's sensors can accurately track whether or not the bobbin thread has run out. Without the cardboard sides they bounce around when you're getting low, and set off the sensors thinking the thread has run out. The tradeoff though is that I don't have any tension issues. So, whatever. I just manually over-ride the sensors every few minutes when it alarms and tell it to keep stitching until it really does run out. It's a minor irritant to get this particular (70 D/2 Polyester Filament) thread, which is apparently the gold standard for my Pfaff Creative 2.0 Sewing/Embroidery Machine.

The price is outstanding, the shipping is fast, the vendor is reliable and I highly recommend them.

I suppose since they don't have the cardboard sides to make them *perfect* I should only give them four stars instead of five, but I really don't care all that much! :)

Huge Spool BLACK Embroidery Machine Bobbin Thread

I am incredibly happy with this thread. I tried using some of my standard black embroidery thread for my bobbin to make FSL but it just kept nesting or breaking so I thought I would try this.. and it's amazing. It was a bit difficult to thread the bobbins though as none of my 3 machines have a pin big enough, but I used a base from a pack of CDs and it worked beautifully. :)

The lobster claws are great but they are slightly smaller than 10mm. I was a little disappointed at first but have made them work for smaller items. I wish they would've given the mm measurement for the clasp and not the ring and clasp combined, or if not then explain the measurement is the ring and clasp combined. At first glance it appeared to be the measurement of the clasp itself which is a little misleading. Above that, the clasps are great quality and the shipping was fast and well handled.
