I use this (25" x 25") as the centerpiece for my daughters quilt. She has a large framed print of this cat on her wall and she loves it.

I made this quilt with matching border collors and backed the quilt with Eiffel Tower print fabric.

The fabris is 100% cotton . The fabric did not feel like quilting cotton but it did well on the quilting machine.

The fabric is machine washable cold and tumble dry low.

As Seen On Tv Handy Stitch Handheld Sewing Machine

This is one of those items that really is too good to be true. I've read reviews of people saying that it doesn't work because the stitching just pulls out and because it doesn't have a second bobbin underneath, but that actually isn't true. If you pull the tailend thread through the fabric, you can tie it off and it'll hold the stitching. And the thread actually loops onto a hook underneath, where you would expect a second bobbin to be, and that's how it makes stitches.

The REAL issue with this is that the thread often slips off the the hook in the middle of sewing and you have a bunch of loose stitches. When it doesn't slip, it's great! Too bad it doesn't ever NOT slip. I managed to sew one seam of a dress I was making, the first seam, and after that it wouldn't sew without dropping stitches. Luckily I got this as a gift, and it has inspired me to start sewing, but now I need to get my hands on a actual machine that ACTUALLY sews. Don't waste your $10 + shipping on this!! Put it towards a real machine.

I can recommend this paper cutter with no reservations. After several months of heavy use, I have had no problems with it whatsoever. It works well and I find it easy to use. It's not cheap, but is very well constructed and I believe, well worth the extra money.

What do I use it for?

Old books bother my allergies, yet I love to read them. I intend to scan all of my books, and not have a single physical copy kept in my home. This device is a great help. I attend library fund-raising book sales ($1.00 for a full paper shopping bag of old books). After the hard covers are removed with a razor knife, my Premier Martin Yale 7000E Commercial Stack Paper Cutter produces stacks of pages with uniform width for my sheet-fed scanner. The scanner quickly converts them into folders of jpg images. I read the books on my personal computer. For a reader with allergies, this is great improvement.

We've had the very similar Janome Jem Platinum 760 for about 6 years, after using an economy grade Singer for 20 years.

I was not sold on the idea of paying 4x for a lot of bells and whistles. But it turns out to be completely worth it. Especially the 99.99% trouble-free operation.

PROs:

* Trouble free no mess-ups in the middle of a project!

* Automatic Needle Up or Down each time you stop

Nice Zig-Zag + straight stitch combinations

Needle Threader built in

LED light

CONs:

* Expensive

The Janome web site has some detailed info in the brochure and owner manuals for each model. The 760 seems to be identical to the 720 except for 40 additional stitch patterns that we've never used, and the hard shell cover is optional on the 720.

The hard shell cover is kind of a hassle. Your thread spool is in the way whenever you place or remove the cover. A box made from heavy cardboard might be better than the hard shell cover for transport & storage.

I have used this numerous times for casting items in molds (silicone molds work best). It is epoxy resin, so in addition to being used to simulate water in a vase with silk flowers, it can be used in casting forms, and can be colored with oil paints, mica colors (beautiful), iron oxide pigments, bronze powders, etc. The main secret to success in getting it to harden properly is to STIR IT LONG ENOUGH before pouring it into your vase or form. I think stirring time in the instructions is two minutes. MAKE SURE you stir for the full instructed time (use a timer if you have one) and then give it an extra minute or two to be sure. Otherwise, you will end up wasting your money with a sticky mess. The resin and catalyst HAVE to be mixed thoroughly in order for the resin to harden. If you follow this procedure, success is pretty much a sure thing. Great product and good price if you need only a small amount of resin. I have had a lot of fun with this product.

The beads are simply perfect for my jewelry projects, with top attachment rather than through the middle of the bead. When i started my search, i thought i wanted a faceted bead. However, upon receiving these, i am glad i decided against facets.

I have used lots of clear contact paper in the past, but I have never had the paper backing be so difficult to remove! It was difficult to even remove 2-3 inches without the paper ripping and separating into layers--leaving an impossible-to-remove thin layer of paper on the adhesive. I am sooo disappointed! This is acting like a really old roll of masking tape. I spent way too much for a huge roll of useless contact paper!
