Janome Universal Ultimate Ruffler Accessory By The Each

I am currently a junior in my years as a fashion design student, and I have to say that this is one of the best investments that I have purchased for my career for awhile. If you are in to children's wear or cute dresses that have a lot of ruffling, than you cannot believe what a life saver this transformer-esque looking foot is! If you've ruffled by hand, gathering string by string than you know the agony and patience it takes to get the final product to look just right. Since ruffles are part of my design aesthetic, I was doing 3 to 4 yard ruffles and they were taking me AT LEAST 4 hours each by hand. Now... 5 minutes tops with the ruffler!!!!! I couldn't believe how professional and beautiful and fast this little guy works---like a dream.
Once you get the hang of all the settings for how wide a ruffle and how many ruffles per stitch, this is going to be your new favorite toy! I honestly still want to ruffle every piece of fabric I own!

I have been using the Lacis ball winder for about a year and have to say that it one of the most justified purchases I've made.
When I purchased the winder, I was somewhat concerned with the negative reviews, however I'm fortunate to have two local yarn shops (LYS) very close by, so I knew that they were simply designed and simple to use. I figured that if I couldn't get it to work, someone at the LYS would assist.
Naturally, I was anxious to wind everything in sight, as soon as it arrived. Much to my surprise, it wasn't working the way I expected. Assembly is minimum, so when the yarn kept getting caught under the gear and just not winding correctly, I thought that there was something "wrong" with my winder.
I'd read, re-read the directions, but it took some playing around and sheer luck to figure out what I was doing wrong. The guide rod, which the manual instructs you to pull out, actually has to be pulled hard and must snap into place in the center of the base. Otherwise, arm falls, doesn't guide properly and makes a mess of your yarn.
Once I solved the problem, I had no more problems.
Although the reviews are not glowing and the Royal winder seems to be a favorite, let me just point out that the winder, unlike your choice in yarn or knitting, or crochet needles, are basically the same.
I definitely recommend it to anyone, especially at the current discounted price of $23...it's money well spent!

Glow In The Dark Powder Pigment Violet

On the positive side, the violet is beautiful. Too bad it doesn't last long. Left it charging all day in the sun and still very short glow time. Also, the amount is VERY small not worth it for the price. I was able to successfully mix cheap glow in the dark paint for same effect in my resin pieces. Only downside to that is I only get one color not the pretty violet.

(25) 4.5mm Split Rings Sterling Silver Charm Parts 24 gauge 37001

These little rings are much more secure for sterling silver charms than the slip rings that come with the charms. I exchanged all my charms slip rings for these split rings and am very happy. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star is that they are a little difficult to get back into the right shape if you slightly pull them apart, which on many thicker charms is the only way to get them threaded. But still, with patience, it can be done, and the charms look great on these.

List Price: $359.00

I bought this saw to aid in my glass work. I have had it for about a month and have used it every weekend for at least 8 hours a day and at least 3 days during the week after work for about 3 hours a day. I have cut several projects with the saw. I loved it till I broke the original blade that came on the unit. So I bought some replacement blades for the saw. I installed the new blade just like the instruction manual said to tracking the blade and all. I started cutting my project about half way threw I thought the blade broke but instead the bottom pulleys edge broke where the blade is riding on the edge of the pulley and making it very thin. I called customer service and told them what was happing so they sent me a new pulley. So I installed the pulley per instructions and reinstalled the blade. It is still doing the same thing. Which is a shame because I love so much about this saw for instance its size it is light weight and compact. I can cut small shapes and odd shapes. I can adjust the height of blade exposed to cut bottles. Maybe I am still doing something wrong but what I have followed all instructions. I have gotten very frustrated with this saw and am looking to purchase a different saw.

List Price: $5.19

I'm a fan of the entire Vintaj product line. They have such a variety of beautiful metal components -natural brass, copper, pewter, and black art deco. I particularly like the natural brass...it adds an earthy touch to jewelry. Vintaj natural brass is a solid brass made up of 85% copper and 15% zinc. The brass goes through 7 stages of hand embellishing so every piece has its own unique color and luster.
These decorative washers are great for multi-dimensional layering over other Vintaj pieces or beads for added oomph and are especially helpful for those situations when you're trying to reach conformity with the hole-size in beads, charms, filigree, findings, etc. The package includes six 3/8-inch flat washers, three 5/16-inch fluted washers, and three 1/4-inch flower washers. For layering, the package includes three different sizes of rivets: 1/8-inch, 1/4-inch, and 1/2-inch.
These washers aren't just for jewelry-making, though. They can also be used for the little bits and pieces for decorating chip board, leather, grunge board, metals, canvas, etc.
So many interesting and beautiful pieces of jewelry can be made by using various components of the Vintaj product line. For inspiration for fun and creative jewelry, it's worth a visit to their website to see their gorgeous photos of finished pieces...each using many various pieces of the Vintaj line. It's easy to find by googling "Vintaj." There are also a number of YouTube videos on different techniques.

Heat Press Transfer Paper Vinyl Film T Shirt Cutter Plotter

on Wednesday, February 11, 2015
I was very impressed with the manner this product was shipped as well as how quickly it arrived. Sadly the gold vinyl is too thin for fabric and completely tore off my shirt as I heat pressed it. Also, it didn't stick very well to the transfer paper making my job of peeling very easy, however, having to apply it to the tee shirt by hand was a lot of work!! I do not think I'd purchase from them again...

Non-stick Teflon Sewing Machine Presser Foot - Fits All Low
Posted by

on Thursday, January 1, 2015
I love these non-stick teflon feet for sewing anything that has a bit of stick to it like vinyl. The foot allows you to have the sticky side up and the foot glides right over the fabric. My only issue with this foot is that because it's white, it makes it hard to "see" where you are sewing. My foot happens to be slightly off center when attached which makes it a real challenge to try to center all my stitches but other then that, it's a lot easier than using tissue paper under a regular foot to get the same gliding affect. Buy it...you'll love it!!

I have seen a lot of reviews on these pens. Almost everyone agrees that they are wonderful pens and that they last for years. A lot of people continue to complain about cleaning the pens, and about the fragility of the tip of the pen (you can bend the wire inside the tip if you aren't careful while cleaning it, rendering the pen useless).
I've only been using Radiograph pens for three years now, but I use them constantly. I draw with them and, for the past two years, I have used them to take hundreds of pages of notes in class. I write with them instead of using regular pens. Using these pens requires a somewhat gentle hand. If you don't use them properly, you are likely to break them and you will wear them down very quickly.
As far as claims in other reviews that the pens stop working or that the ink clogs constantly I have not ever had a problem with this.
If you leave ink in the pens and you do not use them for a number of months, you will have to clean the pens. (This is true of any pen that takes a thicker, more potent ink.) This involves careful disassembly. Cleaning these pens is very similar to trying to clean older calligraphy pens you're bound to have ink all over your hands for a day or two, but, if you are patient, you can clean them completely and they are as good as new.
The lines are uniform in color and constant. The pens work well in controlling the flow of ink, and they do not bleed when you are writing with them. If you shake them a lot, ink will splatter everywhere, like a calligraphy pen with an open nib, but everyday wear and tear won't cause the pen to explode (in a purse or backpack), if you want to carry it around. If the ink flow stops for a moment, you simply need to gently shake the pen to allow more ink to flow to the tip, and it will continue to write (taking the pens apart will allow you to understand exactly how the ink is distributed in the pens but be careful when taking out the tip!)
The pens are reliable and they perform beautifully.
These are my favorite pens.

Like the subject heading says this is the most amazing machine I have ever owned. I'm just starting a home sewing business, and I needed something that would sew a fast straight stitch for max productivity. I made three aprons in a couple days, with all the cutting and application of lace and trims. It went by like nothing. Just perfect for what I needed.
If you're looking to expand your sewing or manufacturing business, this machine cannot be beat. It is the world's leading brand in industrial sewing machines. Plus, I love saying it. Juki! :P

Curve Master 1/4" Presser Foot
Posted by

on Wednesday, November 26, 2014
I love love love this curve master presser foot! I thought I was really fast at curved piecing the old way, with pinning. When I got my new presser foot, in the midst of making a quilt with lots and lots of curves, I found out just how fast I could be. No pins, no picking out bad seams, no cussing or fussing. I was able to sew about 5 times as fast and could do a more efficient assembly line style piecing instead of stopping to pin after each one. I will never sew a curve without it!! and the adapter included to fit my machine worked great. Well worth the price has paid for itself already in the time saved.
As for use as a 1/4 inch foot for straight seams it is ok if you are sewing shorter lengths, and with fabric that has a good amount of body. But if fabric is thin, or the seam is quite long, there is a sort of ruffling effect that will happen.
