After having this on my wish list for quite a while I found that on Amazon I could purchase it solo and not have to save up for a set of stuff as in Norway. It came speedily and was in perfect condition. It works like a charm and I love it!
John Flynn's Portable Machine Quilting Multi Frame W/ 48" RAILS

I absolutely love the John Flynn quilting frame. For smaller quilts it's fantastic! I've also tried it for larger quilts, after purchasing longer poles at my local hardware store, and it works but takes a bit more practice to balance because the pipes are so heavy. I found that setting up 2 ironong boards at each end of my table, helps to balance when working on the ends. With a bit more practice, my smaller quilts will be awesome.
Smooth-On Silicone Mold Making Rubber OOMOO 30

List Price: $30.87

I needed something to make good, detailed, 2-part molds for some small jewelry pieces I was casting in clear resin. After wasting money on some cheaper mold-making alternatives like Castin' Craft Mold Builder (took a WEEK to create a mold, and then didn't even work!) and Amazing Mold Putty (fine except for the cloudy, yellow film the mold left on my pieces), I finally shelled out the $27 for this at my local Dick Blick's. I wish I'd not been so cheap and had just gotten Oomoo in the first place, because it worked like a charm.
The two parts are easy to mix. Unlike resins, the Oomoo will cure just fine even if it's not a perfect 1:1 ratio, so if you don't have or don't want to dirty a measuring cup, it will still turn out fine even if you just eyeball the amounts of part "A" and "B" you pour. One thing I wish the Oomoo had is a more "pourable" opening--the goo tends to run down the sides, so keep tissue close at hand.
The instructions say to let the mold cure for 6 hours, but since I was using it for very small jewelry pieces, it was done in closer to 4-5 for me. Definitely make sure to invest in some mold release if you are doing a two-part mold; I used vaseline in a pinch, which worked okay, but I still had a bit of trouble separating it.
I cast some Castin' Craft clear resin inside the mold. I was pleased with how my piece cured. It was detailed and while not perfectly clear, it was MUCH better than it had been when I'd tried other molds. With a bit of shining and some glossy glaze applied to the outside, it was see-through. My only concern was that the resin tended to splash out along the "seam" of my mold. Although it stayed confined and didn't drip outside, I definitely felt better leaving the mold on top of a bit of plastic instead of straight on a tabletop. This did also leave a slight ridge around where the two pieces of the mold fit together. The excess resin was easy to peel off and with some slight scratching with my fingernail, I was able to make it less noticeable--but it is still there.
Bottom line: I would definitely recommend this for any kind of mold-making you need to do. Don't be put off by the fact it's twice the price as other mold makers or takes a little while longer to cure. It creates superior molds and is well worth the price.

Pyramid TTEZ Automated Swipe Card Time Clock System (Ethernet)

Bought this system for a 20-employee shop. Was a little tricky to set up because the manual does not say how to do it for the ethernet version (only the usb version). But figured that out, then it was pretty easy to set up and use. Employees like it. We did need to set up a paper system for road people to report their time and mileage, though (the time-trax does not handle those). It would be great if there were a web interface so they could report it from wherever they are.

works great with my Paache airbrush. The original had a plastic top that the hose screws into. The little tip broke after the 3rd use. This one is made of metal, and the cap is also metal. Iʻve alread used this bottle 4 times with great results.
Blazer Ultrasonic Cleaner Digital Display

The title says it all. This item is one of my better purchases and like an earlier reviewer said, once you try it, you will be searching for other things to clean. The cleaning process is fairly simple. You fill the cleaning chamber with water, place your item in the bin, set the cleaning time, and return to a very clean item.
The 3800 includes the cleaner itself, a tray for smaller pieces and a watch holder. The manual says that "enhanced" cleaning can be accomplished using 5 ml of dishwashing soap. I used Dawn and my watch, ring, and glasses came out extremely clean. With my glasses, I use a microfiber towel to dry them and the lens and frame sparkle. It is the cleanest that I have ever seen the lens.
There is a viewing port, which allows you to see the cleaned item and the dirty water without stopping the cleaning. The timer button is great. You press it repeatedly to cycle through the cleaning times, there are five. My watch band was extremely dirty so I used the 380 second cleaning time. My ring and glasses were clean with the normal 180 second cleaning time.
The 3800 is well built, is relatively quiet, and uses normal tap water. The Owner's Manual is a one-page foldout, but it does tell you everything that you need to know. I have not had the item very long, but currently, I am very pleased with it.
PROS:
(1) Easy, thorough, and convenient cleaning
(2) Relatively quiet for an ultrasonic cleaner
(3) No vibrations felt when touching the housing
(4) Sufficiently long power cord ... no "brick" transformer required
(5) Digital display of cleaning time
(6) Simple user interface
(7) Parts and watch cleaning trays
(8) Five programmed cleaning times
CONS:
(1) Owner Manual recommends that item is not continuously plugged in to wall power outlet
(2) No bell or beep to signal termination of cleaning cycle.

I bought this saw to aid in my glass work. I have had it for about a month and have used it every weekend for at least 8 hours a day and at least 3 days during the week after work for about 3 hours a day. I have cut several projects with the saw. I loved it till I broke the original blade that came on the unit. So I bought some replacement blades for the saw. I installed the new blade just like the instruction manual said to tracking the blade and all. I started cutting my project about half way threw I thought the blade broke but instead the bottom pulleys edge broke where the blade is riding on the edge of the pulley and making it very thin. I called customer service and told them what was happing so they sent me a new pulley. So I installed the pulley per instructions and reinstalled the blade. It is still doing the same thing. Which is a shame because I love so much about this saw for instance its size it is light weight and compact. I can cut small shapes and odd shapes. I can adjust the height of blade exposed to cut bottles. Maybe I am still doing something wrong but what I have followed all instructions. I have gotten very frustrated with this saw and am looking to purchase a different saw.

My old moccasins finally wore out and I searched for a replacement. This kit is perfect. It is easy to assemble and very comfortable.
Unlike another reviewer I did not want a hard sole on my moccasins; I could have bought shoes anywhere. These are perfect for folks like me who like the feel of being barefoot.
Note: I did buy a size smaller than my normal shoe size, they fit great barefooted, no danger of them falling off while I walk around outside. I normally wear a size 8 wide and I ordered a 6/7. If you intend on wearing a heavy sock you should order your regular shoe size.

Kano Aerokroil Penetrating Oil, 10 oz. aerosol (AEROKROIL)

I have been using kroil at my work (a power plant) for over a year now. This stuff is amazing. At my work, we often have to remove 2" plus bolts that have been rusting in place for the past 30-60 years. Kroil is one of the few things that actually helps. If we still can't get those bolts off with kroil, we usually have to heat the holes up till red hot to get them out. And if that doesn't work, they get cut off. There really is no comparison with kroil and other oils. Kroil leaves no residue that will end up gumming up after a few months like WD-40 does. I started using kroil for household uses, and it does great for tools, windows, and sewing machines as well. Basically, if you have anything mechanical, a can of kroil is one of the best investments you can buy to keep them running optimally. 3-in-1 oil on crack... that's kroil.

The dimensions on this drafting table say 24x36x45. Turns out they are actually 24x36x34. I don't know about you but an 11-in difference in the height dimensions are rather significant. I have a stand up desk at home and it is 44 -in at the front and 48-in in the back. So, when I saw this was 45-in high, I thought great! Turns out at 34-in high, it's a perfect standup desk for a 5-yr old.
There were some reviews suggesting missing parts, etc. I didn't get that far. Turns out one of the supports for the semicircular tilt wheel was not even cut through the wood so you couldn't get the piece in there if you wanted. Devious of them to only drill this half way knowing you were just about done. I'll bet they're still laughing about this in some Chinese factory.
I just can't believe the dimensional specs say 45-in high and it's 11-in too short. And, of course, there is no way to raise the height. It's fixed.
After an hour of work I now have to take it all apart and stick it back in the box and ship it back to Amazon. I'm really getting bummed with having to send a bunch of made in China stuff back to Amazon. The return policy is great but how do I recover 2 hours of completely wasted time.
I'd give this zero stars but that's not allowed.

Amazing GOOP® Automotive Epoxy Paste 4 oz Kit

I used this back in the day when it was "SuperWeld" and nothing has changed but the packaging, which is 100% better. It comes with an A&B which you have to mix in the supplied "dixie" cup using one of the two freezer pop sticks. It's a one to one mixture so it's super easy to use. You mix it VERY thoroughly and it'll start getting warm. Slather it on and let it sit for a couple of hours so it can harden.
I used this to rebuild some broken plastic tabs on my car. I put it on super thick and then drilled it out. It couldn't have worked better. To replace the broken part on my car would have take several hours due to the disassembly/assembly process, so this REALLY was a life saver.
This product is a bit more viscous than other products, so if you need something super thick like putty, this isn't the product for you. I'd say it's slightly more viscous than toothpaste.
I HIGHLY recommend this product.

UPDATE: 1-26-2012
I have been using this pencil sharpener faithfully since my original review, to the extent that 2 things happened. First, the blades (including the spare set) finally dulled, and I discovered that buying a pack of blades is a rather difficult task. Not wanting to leave the comfort of my apartment to venture to a physical art store, I searched online a bit and finally just bought another one of these sharpeners, largely because of the second thing: the lid broke off. The "hinge" for the clear plastic lid is just thin flexible plastic, but after opening and closing it enough times to dump the shavings, it broke off. This is hardly a design flaw as a metal hinge would be ridiculous and the sharpener worked well for a VERY long time. It is just worth noting.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I do a lot of pencil drawing with regular #2 pencils and I demand a very sharp point for thin, precise lines. Electric sharpeners can be good, but finding the right one is giant pain as many tend to do more harm than good. I have one that I use on brand new pencils, but for actually creating the desired sharp tip, or restoring the tip after a brief bit of drawing, a hand sharpener is best. I have tried many of these as well, mostly cheap items from the back-to-school bin, and they really don't work. Some shatter the pencil while others leave the tip dull and rounded, completely invalidating their purpose.
The Kum long point sharpener is not cheap rubbish. Its price, while relatively low, may seem steep for a simple hand pencil sharpener, but it's worth the extra bucks. The sharpener includes two blades. One is used to get the pencil "ready" for the second blade; it's a sort of preliminary "prep" blade. If you only used the first one, you would be pretty disappointed with the results. But, use the second blade afterward, and the pencil takes on a perfect, extremely sharp tip. The sharpener includes a small compartment for the pencil shavings, so that you don't have to hold it over the trash while using it.
I'm very pleased with the Kum long point sharpener, and I would recommend it to any artist who is fed up with other, ineffective sharpening tools.

$35 may seem a bit steep for a replacement foil and blades, but installing these made my razor work like new again. If you can get a new Panasonic wet/dry with the 13,000 rpm motor cheap then it may be worth it to buy a new razor instead of new blades. The picture may show one cutting blade but there are two in the package.

I Love this cartridge. I would have given it 5 stars, because it has so many different things you can do with it, but there are a few things I wish could be done differently.
First of all, the font that comes with this cartridge is one of the main reasons I picked it; however, because of how it is programed it is hard to tell which letters I am picking. They do not show up on the little key pad, so I have to look in the book and count the rows and columns to pick each letter.
The other thing I find confusing about this cartridge is guessing the sizes for how big things will end up cutting. The border lace ends up being pretty big even on the smallest settings.
Overall this is a great cartridge. It has a lot of variety to offer, and some really nice patterns.
