I have to say that I was really excited about this item when I was looking at it online. The images online were very clear and I imagined so many things I could might be able to do with it. What I received is the quilt square but it isn't put on normal cotton or muslin fabric...it is on a silky/slimy feeling blend of fabric. Not what I was expecting at all. I guess some was my fault because I didn't mark out with my ruler how big 10 x 10 was so was pretty surprised at how small it really is so it wouldn't be good for a normal size throw pillow unless I can find complimentary colors to border it but even then the picture won't stand out much as a focal point. Anyway, it is a nice picture and now I have a picture on a "hanky" that I guess I can keep as a keepsake though I can't see myself really doing anything with it. Mostly my fault which is why I gave it 3 stars but some sellers fault for not showcasing the square next to a normal throw pillow to give normal buyers like me a visual guide before buying.

My dissappointment with the refills is that the holes punched do not line up with the Martha Stewart Albums I purchased last year. So unless I repurchase new albums and replace those I have only had for 12 months I had to self punch additional holes in these refills. it says....Sheet size: 2-inch by 6-3/4-inch but the tassel is about 4 inches long! the little sticker panel is cheaply made and can't fit four numbers on it... Really disappointed, though I guess you could hang it on the wall.

Smooth-On Silicone Mold Making Rubber OOMOO 30

I needed something to make good, detailed, 2-part molds for some small jewelry pieces I was casting in clear resin. After wasting money on some cheaper mold-making alternatives like Castin' Craft Mold Builder (took a WEEK to create a mold, and then didn't even work!) and Amazing Mold Putty (fine except for the cloudy, yellow film the mold left on my pieces), I finally shelled out the $27 for this at my local Dick Blick's. I wish I'd not been so cheap and had just gotten Oomoo in the first place, because it worked like a charm.

The two parts are easy to mix. Unlike resins, the Oomoo will cure just fine even if it's not a perfect 1:1 ratio, so if you don't have or don't want to dirty a measuring cup, it will still turn out fine even if you just eyeball the amounts of part "A" and "B" you pour. One thing I wish the Oomoo had is a more "pourable" opening--the goo tends to run down the sides, so keep tissue close at hand.

The instructions say to let the mold cure for 6 hours, but since I was using it for very small jewelry pieces, it was done in closer to 4-5 for me. Definitely make sure to invest in some mold release if you are doing a two-part mold; I used vaseline in a pinch, which worked okay, but I still had a bit of trouble separating it.

I cast some Castin' Craft clear resin inside the mold. I was pleased with how my piece cured. It was detailed and while not perfectly clear, it was MUCH better than it had been when I'd tried other molds. With a bit of shining and some glossy glaze applied to the outside, it was see-through. My only concern was that the resin tended to splash out along the "seam" of my mold. Although it stayed confined and didn't drip outside, I definitely felt better leaving the mold on top of a bit of plastic instead of straight on a tabletop. This did also leave a slight ridge around where the two pieces of the mold fit together. The excess resin was easy to peel off and with some slight scratching with my fingernail, I was able to make it less noticeable--but it is still there.

Bottom line: I would definitely recommend this for any kind of mold-making you need to do. Don't be put off by the fact it's twice the price as other mold makers or takes a little while longer to cure. It creates superior molds and is well worth the price.

I received this item, and it is very pretty, but it does not look like the picture. The picture shows something that is circular, with some kind of faceted interior or maybe a cutout on one side. The object I received actually is shaped like a low, faceted cone with a flat bottom. As I said, it is beautiful, but I wanted something with a spherical profile because I am collecting glass paperweight globes.

I wonder if the vendor sent me the wrong thing by mistake!

This EnviroTex does what it is supposed to do. It does create a beautiful finish on many items, and I do intend to use it more in the future. My problem has to do with the directions. I was updating my old countertops and putting this over top of them to really give them a nice wow factor. In the directions it says to pour the mixed contents over the item and smooth it out with a foam brush or putty knife. I did this...twice. Each time it was not smooth at all, and I am a pretty handy person. I started researching how to make it look better. I spent a couple nights online writing down similar ways to apply it from other products that are like it. A good number of these other products said to use a small roller and apply it that way across the counters. This did involve me sanding the EnviroTex that I already laid down twice off my counters. It was not a simple process, much to the credit of this company, because this stuff is very thick. It took me a whole night to sand everything off of them and then clean the kitchen. I only had a small portion of EnviroTex left in my two bottles, and chose to do the island in my kitchen to make sure this would work better. It worked great with the roller!!! Very pleased with it. The bad news is now I have to purchase more of it to finish off the kitchen when if they had just said in the directions to use a roller in the first place, things would have gone much smoother. I never leave reviews on items I buy off of Amazon, and I buy things from here frequently, but I felt I better for this product. If I can save just one person on here the hassle of what I had to go through, then I will feel better about everything. So please, EnviroTex, your directions sheet should be changed to include using a roller to apply your product. Like I said, I will use this on other projects in the future, but I will definitely be using a roller!

Brother SC9500 Computeized Sewing & Quilting Machine 90

I got this machine from Sears after losing my old Singer. Originally, I was very skeptic about getting a computerized machine but when it came down to the wire, I needed a machine ASAP and I wanted a quality one.

All I can say is, if you read the manual, you will do just fine. Many reviews on sewing machines complain about hard or confusing threading, but I'm telling you now, threading this machine is super easy!

Being computerized, there are many, many options to choose from! READ THE MANUAL. It explains everything you can think of and even gives you charts of what needles to use with what fabric, what stitches should be in length and width, what each stick is best used for, etc. This manual is not just instructions for the machine, it is the best reference guide I've ever had.

As far as the machine, It handles like a dream. It is quiet and very efficient. The only thing I don't like is the spool holder being made of plastic, but all of them are these days. The smooth guides of the machine does a good job as long as you have plenty of fabric and no pulling. As of right now, I have used the machine on lining and cotton/Sateen. It does a great job on both in multiple layers and just as one layer.

I think the best part of the machine is that you can change some general setting. FIrst, the machine is preprogramed to put the needle down when you lift your foot of the break, which means you have to push a button to get it to lift up out of the fabric. Following the manual, this can be changed and reprogramed easily to make the needle lift up automatically when you're done. It also starts the needle out on a straight stitch to the left, but this can also be changed to make it start out in the center at a straight stitch.

This machine was constructed for someone who likes to use the needle to the left. Which is obnoxious for me, but not even close to a deal breaker. The only thing is that the measurements on the machine that show the distance from the needle, used for 5/8 main seams, are from the left needle position. Which means if you like the needle center, you need to know what is 5/8 away since it is not on the table.

The accessories that this machine comes with are amazing. It comes with every foot you may need as well as some bobbins and a variety of needles.

I do recommend this machine to anyone, experienced or not because it is a great easy to use but powerful machine. If you get it at Sears, you can even get a 2 year "fix-it" warranty for about $50. Sears has a 90 day return policy which is handy if this machine isn't for you. The parts warranty from Brother lasts 25 years. Last, read the manual. The whole thing. It is easy and filled with pictures more than anything else. Believe me, you will not regret knowing what you're doing rather than guessing and getting frustrated. Good luck on your sewing!

I am new at making jewelry and I really didn't know what I needed. The description and other reviews really helped me choose this item. I am very happy with it! I had some odd shaped stones and needed bails that would be able to conform around them.

I used liquid fusion glue but it didn't seem to dry as strong as I'd like. If anyone has a suggestion on what glue to use with these, I'd love to know. The bails are great though.

Sew D'Lite Supreme Portable Sewing Machine - 11401

This machine is made in China and comes with no instructions. There is a cryptic chart pasted to the top of the machine. I was able to figure out the threading sequence, but the throat plate was loose. There are no instructions for positioning the throat plate. It seems to need the needle holder and presser foot removed in order to reposition the throat plate, but the screw holding them is so soft it will not unscrew without destroying the fitting.

The drop in bobbin has a little chart for the correct alignment of the thread: counterclockwise or clockwise. x or o. What does that mean? Is it + or 0?

I have no idea.

I have searched in vain on line for instructions for this machine without success.
