I went looking to buy the TB30. I actually liked the graphics and all the pretty lights. Hey, might as well have a "light show" while sewing kites! I ended-up buying the new re-packaged TB30: the DC4030. Oh, I lost some of the pretty lights along with the graphics, as the 4030 is just the TB30 in a "plain, brown wrapper." But, not one ounce of functionality or quality! It's all there and it's just GREAT! It even came with a hard case, something I wanted and was glad I didn't have to buy separately. I've sewn a good 12 different kinds of fabrics on it to date. Thanks to the adjustable pressure feet, whatever I've tossed at it, it's delivered top quality stitching right back at me. No errors, no goofs, no bound-up bobbins or stitches. Just great sewing. I call it, "Janome style" when it comes to the machine's stitch quality. The SFS may be a marketing whatever, but, I'm brutally honest when I state, SFS is reality! I've sewn on other Janome machines without SFS. There is just no comparison between a Janome SFS and a Janome non-SFS. Get the SFS, you won't be sorry. Bottom line: no complaints from me. Oh, here are the machines I compared before I purchased: Brother PC210 and PC420 and the SE400 (all looked good on paper with lots of great comments, but...sorry, Brother, your quality is still in question) and the Janome 1050 and 2150 (both of these machines are close in what they offer. However, less plastic in my machine, the better I like it and these had too much plastic...in the operating mechanism. That's not to say it's wrong to do that, Brother, Singer, and Janome have been doing it a long time. But, I'll pass). I also looked real closely at the Janome Memory Craft. But, some things can't be...on my budget! Endgame: My 4030 is poised, ready to create kites, curtains, etc. right next to my Janome Serger.

I'm six feet tall, and I can see where this riser might be a bit high for some for computer monitors. I still wouldn't hesitate to buy as you can use the shelf to get phones, speakers, books, etc. up off your work surface. But I like having monitors high as it keeps your posture up when working. I have a design company running from a home office and had 3 monitors elevated on books on an Ikea desk. Some of my days go 16 hours and I've been needing a chiropractor to adjust my neck from craning it to the side. I've now got a 20" iMac and 19" PC monitor up on the riser and it's a major improvement for a small investment. This product is much better looking than the picture shows. It doesn't have the rubberized look in the photo. It's more of a matte black texture. There was some minor scuffing from shipment, but not noticeable and nothing that couldn't be fixed with a magic marker. The product is heavy-duty, but not heavy, and I can see putting 60 lbs or more on it with no trouble. The supports have quality rubber pads to protect your desk. I put bamboo mats down on the surface for protection and a less industrial look. Get yourself an ergonomic armrest, good mouse and keyboard and this riser and you have a great place to work (or watch movies). My desk now has 3 times the open space. Phone, speakers, hard drives, Wi-Fi etc. are all beneath the riser now. I don't write a lot of reviews. This is a premium product for the price.

I received this item, and it is very pretty, but it does not look like the picture. The picture shows something that is circular, with some kind of faceted interior or maybe a cutout on one side. The object I received actually is shaped like a low, faceted cone with a flat bottom. As I said, it is beautiful, but I wanted something with a spherical profile because I am collecting glass paperweight globes.

I wonder if the vendor sent me the wrong thing by mistake!

Picked up a set of these up at the local art store, to try something different. I've tried a lot of different brands of lining markers, and these are the only ones that hold a candle to microns. Great quality, nice crisp lines, and the nibs don't seem as fragile as microns. Will definitely buy these again. Seem pretty reliable so far, which is a must have in the work place. Seem to hold true to the copic reputation.

There are many excellent colored pencil brands available today, with some of the premier labels being Caran D'Arche (Switzerland), Conté (France), Faber Castell (Germany), Talens (the Netherlands) and Koh-i-noor (Czech Republic). Each pencil brand has its own loyal following, and it is certainly true that the performance characteristics of each leaves a unique "signature" on paper (i.e., the experienced eye can sometimes tell which brand of pencil was used for a different piece of artwork by examining luminosity, reflection, depth of color, and others). I have used all these brands myself, having brought back from Europe entire sets from various manufacturers, and often in different sub types ("artist," "student," and so on). Some also have added touches that really make a pencil set shine, including rounded triangular shafts with subtle inlaid grips, bonded coatings between the lead and the pencil wood to minimize lead shattering, and soft textured surfaces for improved gripping and comfort. Some sets are now even beginning to adhere to the lightfastness specifications as developed by the Colored Pencil Society of America.

So, what should we think about a set of American made colored pencils when they are competing with these premier brands, some of which have been in business for centuries? The answer might be surprising to hear: after using all these brands for an extended period of time, I can say that these Prismacolor "Premier" pencils easily hold their own against the world's best colored pencils.

What are the characteristics of the Prismacolor "Premier" pencils that make them so good?

1. Smooth, silky, and rich laydown of color

2. Little smearing, even when laying down dense patches of color

3. Ability to blend colors as needed

4. Wide range of available colors

5. Relatively inexpensive (by comparison to other premium brands)

6. Availability of the Prismacolor "Verithin" pencil sets, which duplicate the colors of the "Premier" line pencil by pencil (matched by color codes), but in an extremely hard lead that permits a high level of sharpening for detail work which will not quickly wear down.

At first glance, it might seem that these Prisamacolor pencils are expensive, but when one reflects on the fact that some of the more "esoteric" (for lack of a better word) pencils can run upwards of $3 $4 per pencil, the Prismacolors are nothing short of a bargain. (If you hunt long enough, you can even find the large set of 120 pencils that comes in a two tiered wood case with lining to house your collection and you'll still be paying far less per pencil than other high end brands.)

But the proof is certainly in the putting. Get one of these in your hands, and lay down some color on a sheet of paper and see if you don't experience the very thing I am describing here. These are rich and smooth leads with an almost creamy feel. That's not to say you can point them up to a needle: you can, but you just must be careful not to press too much when doing so in order to keep the point from breaking. You can also use these in a duller point to lay down large swaths of rich, deep color. (Again, pairing this set up with the "Verithin" set can be very helpful for detail work.)

Are these pencils perfect? No. There are a few issues, some minor, but nevertheless relevant for this review:

1. Lead shattering seems to be an issue for the company. My first set had no less than 10% of the pencils shattered all the way down to the end, rendering all those colors useless. This is either manufacturing problems, or some improvement in the cases in which the pencils are transported and sold is required to further reduce shock from transport. It is an unacceptable result when purchasing a large pencil set.

2. Along those same lines, it would be wonderful if Prismacolor could look into a similar technology such as Staedler uses in its colored pencils, which is a coating of inner material between the lead and the wood to reduce breakage. I've never had a single Staedler pencil break on me yet. Not one.

3. The triangular shaped shafts of both the Faber Castell and Staedler pencils is in my view a superior design than the round format of the Primscolors, allowing greater control and improved comfort.

4. The Prismacolors do not use any type of friction coating on the outside of the pencils to help improve grip. Both Staedler and Faber Castell do (and in different manners), and this adds immeasurably to their performance characteristics.

5. The printing on the shaft of the Prismacolor to identify color name and code can be almost illegible, with blurry, imprecise lettering. In some lighting conditions, the markings are nearly impossible to read. (The newest editions of the Prismacolors seem to have addressed this, but don't count on getting those in the boxed sets anytime soon until existing stock is sold and replaced with new models.)

6. The Prismacolors are not "finished" on the end with any type of cap or closure, and the pencils also arrive unsharpened. (Compare the Faber Castells, which both come fully sharpened and are mounted in a manner that makes them resistant to any type of breakage during transport; these also, as most other brands, have a nice finishing cap on the end of the pencil.)

Let me be clear. These minor quibbles all fall away once you get one of these in your hand an experience how they perform. These are simply a delight to use, and many artists swear by them. After using them myself, I can see why. I still am extremely impressed with the best of the offerings Europe produces, but these Prismacolor pencils deserve to be counted right among them. If they ever addressed my minor quibbles above, they might vie for a role as a de facto standard with one or two of the other most expensive brands three times their price.

Five stars for performance. Five stars for price. Five stars for fun. And five stars for rich , creamy, deep color!

Note: Although these pencils come in many sizes of sets, I recommend the 72 color set. This gives you a wide range of colors, and does not run you into issues with the larger sets where you have multiple colors so close to one another you cannot easily see the difference. Of course, if you want the beautiful wood case, you'll need to get the 120 set.

Me and my dad both love magnets. I ordered these for him for Christmas and when I received them in the mail, I had to check them out. They are super strong and the look/feel of them is great. Like the other reviewers stated, try not to let them stick together, because you will suddenly be confronted with the task of getting them apart. You couldn't ask for any stronger of a magnet thats this size, but you do have to be careful. Like it says on the packaging, they are very brittle. I got two of them too close together, and they flew at each other and when they connected they shattered into very many tiny pieces, but thankfully the strength of the magnets kept the pieces in one big clump, instead of scattering them everywhere. I guess your not supposed to play with them like I was, but how can you resist? These a great magnets with excellent strength, but you just gotta be careful with them.

This is a fantastic trimmerI love it. Have never had a problem with the cutter not cutting all the way to the end. It will cut 2 layers of cardstock easily (at least mine does), it cuts thin chipboard (cereal box thickness), and you can get blades for it in bulk at local fabric stores. You can also get different blade stylesdeckle, wavy, pinking, etc. I have had this trimmer for about 10 years and would buy it again in a heartbeat. It's my ONLY trimmer!

Decent enough kit. The container is a bit loose so you will want to hold it shut with tape or a rubber band after you initially open it. The only other gripe is that the spools can be a little challenging to work with if the 5 or so types of thread on each one start to get tangled.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program These self-sealing laminating sheets are easy-to-use but the finished product is of so-so quality. I tried these sheets to preserve travel momentos (ticket stubs, business cards) in a single sheet, and also for photographs.

The sheets are easy-peel (there's a removable strip at the top, so no hunting for a corner to peel), but it's harder when you apply the second sheet (the back). Lining up the two sheets is difficult, and the sheets easily stick to each other. At this point, it's possible to peel them back apart, but the process leaves the back sheet with some ridges/folds, and fingerprints start to accumulate in the adhesive as you try to get things positioned just so.

Once you carefully apply the back sheet, pressing firmly, you'll notice the plastic doesn't appear entirely clear. This is because tiny pockets of air remain, even after pressing firmly while sealing. Despite the glossy finish, this means the product isn't suitable for laminating a photograph (even though a laminated photograph is what's pictured on the packaging I received). Using an edge like your fingernail and rubbing firmly on the surface is enough to smooth a patch so it looks clear as was intended, but it's too much work to apply that technique to an entire 9x12 sheet. Larger air bubbles can't be removed once the sheets are sealed together.

A pair of sheets is reasonably rigid, but isn't entirely firm like traditional lamination would be.

This product seems unsuitable for photos, or things that are intended to be scanned or photographed later (where clarity matters), but seems a decent way to protect recipes or odds-and-ends like my ticket stubs. For some of those things, like recipes, that are likely coming from a printer anyway, it's simpler to print them on a glossy heavy paper to begin with, rather than laminating them later.

These sheets don't require any other tools, but aren't nearly as useful (or nice to look at) as traditional heat-sealed lamination. Recommended for limited purposes only.

For the price, the program has a lot to offer. Loved being able to use TT fonts. I have found that software usually includes only 5 or 6 fonts that I really like, and I could spend more money buying different alphabets. Not with this program, you get to use the fonts on your computer. It was easy to use and most of all, it sewed out perfectly with no gaps between stitches. By selecting the fabric you are going to use, it creates the underlay based on that type of material.

My name is Ken,

I am a avid fisherman, and have fished for more than 40 years. I guess I have seen and used most items in the fishing section of all the department stores. Well when I saw this I knew it looked intreging, had never seen one before, and had problems in the past, keeping my minnows and other bait alive for an extended amount of time. Well, you have the one item to keep those pesky little critters alive, even in full sun.

This is the one item any lake or river fisherman should have! This "IS A MUST FOR ALL FISHERMEN!"

I use my Inland Band Saw Cutter for slicing quite thin pieces of glass, to build up mosaic pictures. The blades snap quite easily if you kink them and I have been getting through a lot of them recently. My UK supplier stopped keeping any spare parts and until I found Kent's on the Amazon site I was in despair. I now know where to get my replacements in wonderful packs of three blades and can thoroughly recommend this product
