Smaller than they look. Only good for decoration, not really much sound, just a light tinkle (but a nice tinkle). Holes are already drilled. That's a small plus. Not bad priced though, since I cannot find anything to compare them against online or in the stores. I felt sort of lucky to find this National Aircraft company. I don't know of any other manufacturer that sells pre-drilled chimes in different sizes at all anywhere. I hung them onto a small wooden birdhouse.

I use this rubber bulb dust blower for a final cleaning step before putting photographic slides in my scanner.

The action of the check valve for the air intake is very smooth. The rubber from which the bulb is made is very supple and not too thick. The brass noozle has just the right diameter for a nice high air velocity without too much resistance.

With all of these characteristics, I find that I can operate the bulb with an easy squeezing motion that is not too tiring on the hands, yet a few quick puffs from the bulb does a great job of blowing dust from the surfaces of my slides.

I still keep a can of compressed gas for blowing off larger surfaces (like the glass plate in my scanner), but this bulb lets me conserve the canned gas by doing a great job on the smaller surfaces of my slides and negatives.

I think it is unfortunate when product reviews don't actually review the product that is ordered. When I purchased this item, I knew it was correct because my Fiskars Rotary Trimmer provided the replacement blade item number right on it. And Amazon's item description indicates that this is a 28mm blade. No, it may not be industrial strength as one of the reviewers correctly stated. However, my office has one of those too, and what sets this trimmer apart from that one is that it actually cuts straight. Because the guide is secured at both ends, it does not "stray" from straight over time the way that the heavy duty hinged ones do. We have had this trimmer for more than 8 years and it still cuts straight as an arrow. We use it when we do more detailed work that has to look good.

I have used this product for over a week and have cut out over 30 stencils already. This product works like a charm. It takes about 5 minutes to warm up to maximum heat but after that it cuts through stencil sheet material like butter. It is as easy to use as a pen. Previously I used an exacto knife set and let me tell you this product far exceeds that archaic method. It comes with 2 different tips but I have only found use for the straight tip as I don't see how the curved tip will improve on its ability. For stencil material I use Grafix Dura Lar "Matte" stencil sheets sold in a pad of 25. I originally purchased a thickness of .005 but would recommend a thicker medium such as .007. Make sure to get the matte version as it can be drawn on with pencil without smearing and you can erase any mistakes without so much as a smudge left. Also be sure to purchase the sheets in a pad and not a roll because the pad sheets will always lay flat and not curl like most stencil mediums. I purchased the stencil sheets from Jerry's Altarama but there are alternative sites that sell it as well. This is the first time I have used an electric cutter and I am more than satisfied. I have viewed similar electronic cutters, including the 5 in 1 tool but the reviews on those products were not appealing. This product will not disappoint! Enjoy and happy stenciling.

I bought this cutter after doing quite a bit of research, and it has so far exceeded my expectations. I'm a watercolor artist and I needed something that would cut 300# watercolor board, as well as some thinner papers I use for other projects. I had previously used Premier (the green ones) and some other commercial style cutters when I worked at a school, as well as several brands of rotary trimmers. I ended up deciding guillotine was better suited for use with the thick cotton rag boards I cut, and there is also the advantage of not needing to buy blades, as most guillotine trimmers are self sharpening. For this price, I did not expect to get something as heavy-duty as the commercial ones I'd used, but this one had good user reviews, and was more sturdily built than some others I'd researched here and elsewhere. I got the cutter and could not be more pleased. It is a lot more heavy-duty than I expected. It has a 15 sheet rating, but it slices like butter through 300 pound cotton rag watercolor board, which is very fibrous and hard to sever. I was interested to note that there is no actual blade on this cutter. The tension on the lever is used to create a scissor effect between the lever and the side of the board. The other guillotine trimmers I have used do have a sharp blade, but this one is squared off and the corner of the lever is used as a scissor blade. It's very effective. I don't get that jagged tearing sort of cut; it's very clean and sharp. I did some experimental trimming with standard paper, and it cut 1/32 inch without folding under. On a lot of guillotine trimmers, if you get a really close shave, it folds the paper rather than cutting it. This one cuts clean in very small increments. I have been used to holding the paper myself and not using the onboard paper holder, because most of the time, they didn't work that well on the trimmers I have previously used. You don't really have an option with this trimmer, unless you want to modify it, but I'm actually glad now, because the bar that holds the paper really does hold the paper very tightly. I can cut one-handed, even. The part of the paper holding arm that contacts the paper is a flexible rubber material, so it does not leave any marks on the paper itself (rag board is very susceptible to impression marks). I would have taken it off without having tried it if that had been an option, so I'm glad it wasn't. I'm still able to visually line up my cuts with it, and I use 1/32 measurement, so it's pretty precise. The board/blade relationship is square and I did measure it with an angle gauge (you can tell by now that I did, can't you? LOL). I noticed that another reviewer posted that the nut on the paper holding arm gets in the way of the blade. Well, I guess if you let it get completely unscrewed it might, but it's a good half inch away from the cutting arm when it's tight, so theirs must really have come loose! Nothing about the paper holding arm gets in the way of the blade on the trimmer I received. The base is not solid, but it is heavy enough that it didn't slide around on me when I used it on the counter. Light-weight plastic trimmers slide all over the place, but this one is solid enough to stay put, and it does have rubber feet, which probably helps. If you need more precise measurements than half inch, the surface does mark easily with a Sharpie, and doesn't rub off. I felt like I had good control with this trimmer once I got used to the paper holding arm. You do have to lift the blade completely, but that turns out not to be much of a concern once you get used to it. The backstop guide holds securely with a thumb screw, and photo paper did not slide under it. The thinnest I used was Epson Premium Presentation Paper (not Ultra, and not photo paper) which is nearly equivalent to a sheet of typing paper. If you make sure it's squared up, you can still cut a single piece of paper without it sliding under the backstop, but if you're careless on the top edge, the bottom corner of the paper could slide under the backstop. I'm not sure I described that well, but if you are snug on the top (ruler) edge, the backstop will work fine with a single sheet of typing paper. I saw that someone else has posted this cutter only cuts 16". That is NOT correct. The blade/arm is slightly over 18" long and it definitely does make 18" cuts. The ruler across the top of the trimmer board is only 15' long, and is marked to 14.5", so perhaps that was what the other reviewer meant. As far as the cutting length it's 18". Thought I'd better clear that up, because the picture does not let you see that the blade and ruler sides are two different lengths. To be clear, this trimmer DOES make 18" cuts. The blade/arm itself is 8mm (slightly over 1/4 inch) thick, so I don't anticipate any bowing of the arm itself. There is a heavy duty spring that maintains tension where the arm attaches to the board. There is a piece of heavy metal (I don't know what kind, but I assume it's the same as the arm) attached to the board which that acts as the other "blade" for the scissor-type function. That strip of metal is about two thirds as thick as the arm itself. Both surfaces seem like they will wear well over time, but that is just an opinion. Incidentally, I also used the top ruler to fold against, as it provides a good ledge to line up the ends of the paper. If you go to the Dahle website, this is actually the Vantage trimmer. It doesn't say so in this listing, but the box is labeled Vantage. On the whole, I'm very pleased and would definitely recommend this trimmer. Feel free to email me if you have any specific questions I have not answered here.

It is a great way to keep your threads organized and kept together. It is simply a thread box... nothing glamorous about it. I thought that the title "thread box" made it clear that it was a box, not a box filled with thread, and my product arrived within two days in perfect condition.

First off, I do not work for this company as some reviewers do. I'm a hobbyist who experimented with this brand alginate and arrived at the following conclusion...

This is a good product. It mixes surprisingly well, easy and sets in good time, not too fast and not too slow. Its skin safe and silica free which is cool. If its going to be used for dental impression mold making from the subjects mouth, it has a pleasant minty taste so no worries about chemically residue in the mouth. The mold deteriorates after a couple of days as the water in it evaporates. so its important to work quickly (but not so quickly that you're racing the clock). i wanted to use it for a creative art project but it didn't do what i wanted it to do, i needed a silicone based compound. For the creative types, this stuff is good for fun disposable kid projects too. I recommend Hollywood brand alginate. its worth it.

I have had this machine for about a month. I have made a quilt, 4 shirts, and 3 sets of curtains with it. I am a sewing novice. I spent some time on my mother's machine as a kid, it was unfortunate as it broke a lot, and now I'm really learning how to do it through quilting and sewing classes.

Pros:

Auto tension! I love it. It works every time.

Drop in bobbin! I will never go back.

Easy to select stitches. (however,do read the manual before doing

twin needle work!)

Lots of choices for embellishing items with embroidery.

So far, no issues and I've sewn heavy and light fabrics.

Cons:

The autothreader takes more work than doing it myself.

You will need another light source if you like to sew at night.

I don't like that to reverse stitch I have to hold the button at

the same time I guide my fabric. Couldn't they just let me press

the button, then press the button again when I'm done with

reverse? (That's not novice friendly!)

A bit heavy to carry. I'm tough, but carrying it for more than a

short walk will get to you. Get a rollerboard carrier and skip

the plastic case.

I remember had this game when I was a kid! I remember loving it and honestly would even like to play it now as an adult. Each player has a different colored fish. A die with each color is rolled and the fish whose color is rolled gets to move ahead. While the fish are racing each other a motorized shark is slowly advancing and as it reaches a fish the fish gets chomped and sucked into the shark's belly. I recommend giving the fish a big head start if you want the game to last longer. You can have very short rounds though. The last fish to be eaten wins! Here's a video so you can see the game in action!

This is easy to install, and does everything it says it will. Some things to keep in mind:

It takes practice. I definitely haven't mastered it yet, but it gets better each time.

Look up tutorials online. Videos and diagrams are out there and they help.

This does not work equally well on all fabrics. The silk dupioni was much more difficult than the cotton sateen. (I eventually got it to work, but not consistently enough that I wanted to use it for my silk skirt...more practice needed!)

On the right fabric with the right method = amazingly professional results and a HUGE time saver!

Good luck!
