Am just beginning to use, so time may change my impression, but I am impressed. I believe T&C has properly protected the more vulnerable areas and gave serious thought to design and manufacture of the airbrush. Balance feels great in my hand. A general procedure: push and keep down the button (adjusting the pressure accordingly), then pull back to spray-best way to maintain consistent spray. (An aside comment: why don't all the manufacturers use a universal threaded piece at the bottom to take a universal hose?) Nice, well weighted and plated. Tip top!

The metal bobbin does NOT fit on the bobbin winder shank because the hole is too small! Thus it is useless, but will cost more than it is worth to return it.

I wanted an affordable machine that had plenty of bells and whistles. I was leaning toward the Singer Featherweight, but this caught my eye because it was less expensive. I've put it to the test with a few projects, and it has performed great. The only problem I noticed is that the feet occasionally come off if accidentally bumped. However, it is not that annoying, because it happens when I am not in the middle of stitching.

I purchased one of these to store my seed beads. After a few uses, the plastic latches weren't staying closed. The lids are also not tight-sealing; beads spilled out when I dropped one of the rings. I like that the caddy has the central compartment where I can store wire and cutters, but wish that the compartments were better secured.

Silhouette Cameo Replacement Cutting Mat

I've had a lot of experince with cutting mats and die cut machines. This mat is no better or worse that any other mat that comes with these types of machines. Most people that die cut alot have tips for getting the most out the mats. Here are a few of mine:

-All mats are very, VERY sticky when they are brand new. They will shred your paper if you are not careful with them. Solution: Get some of the stickyness out by rubbbing a cotton T-shirt all over the mat. The barely visable fuzz from the shirt will soften the sticky to a managable level for your paper while not interferring with the blade.

-Sticky wears off after time. This is not really true but it seems like it. The real problem is dust and paper fibers adhere to the mat over time and block the sticky. Solution: Rinse with cool water and rub some dish soap with your hands over the mat. This will remove the debris thats blocking the sticky. Let air dry when done.

-Washed the mat way too many times and now the sticky really IS gone. This happens much later on in the life of the mat. Solution: Buy a can of spray adhesive (Making Memories Slice Removeable Adhesive works GREAT) or a broad tipped glue pen and reglue the mat yourself. Make sure it is completely dry before use. If you chose to use a Spray, make sure the unsticky edges of the mat are covered before you spray so they stay that way. You can YouTube "Reglue Cricut Mat" for the technique.

Hope this helps with the mat problems alot of reviewers are having. Rest asured, this is typical and normal issue and not at all exclusive to this machine or this mat.

This is an excellent paper, just the right weight--45 lb.--for posters and printing on a 13 x 19 printer. Color looks nearly perfect--I usually have to bring up the exposure level or brightness in another program before printing to this matte finish. Price per sheet is less than comparable weights, other brands. Very professional look--like straight off an offset press. OK, I'm exaggerating a bit--but you get great results at probably a 60% discount to a commercial printer for short runs--like the 50 or 100 I do at a time, once you figure the cost of the ink too. It goes fast on this paper.

I bought these cylidrical, 1/2" x 1/4" neodymium magnets hoping to use them as very strong refrigerator magnets, since their basic shape is not 'flat' but they have some vertical height to them. (I've tried "Magnutz" designed for fridges, but they're a bit weaker than I'd like; those contain much smaller neodymium magnets.)

I found these magnets quite strong, well-made. I don't anticipate their chipping with use, for example; I suspect they've got a stainless steel covering, although the magcraft website doesn't specify. As a fridge magnet, these are a tad TOO strong if you use them as is; they're rather difficult to get off the metal surface. E.g. if a bunch of them stick together in a stack, I can't pull them apart directly, but have to laterally slide one off the other. (Note, the description of approx. 10 lbs pulling weight each magnet seems approximately correct. Gotta get a good grip to get one of these off the fridge; I can do it, my wife can't quite.)

To make perfect extra-strong refrigerator or workplace magnets out of these, all you need to do is find some sort of container for them that you can use to "grab" the magnet. E.g. glue one of these magnets to the bottom of the tiny scoops that come with baby formula powder... or, I found it easy to sew a magnet inside a piece of 2" square cloth, making a tiny sack that works perfectly as an extremely -extremely! strong refrigerator magnet, easy to grab & use. (Hey, someone could do some business making these...)

Whether or not the magnets fit my particular purpose: you should know that these magnets are quite strong, certainly well made, beautiful little items, seem to be designed to take a good beating.

They are certainly too strong to give a kid to play with; very little creative capacity, it seems, when they're this strong. And, they are strong enough to magnetize small iron objects, so watch out how you use them.

I've been having a hard time shirring fabric with elastic thread with my Brother machine. I read that if you tightened the tension on the bobbin case, that this would solve the problems, BUT I also read that people were having a hard time changing the tension back to what it was originally because all you need to do to change the tension in the case is turn a screw. I am a new sewer and don't have the experience to change it back properly so buying a bobbin case to use exclusively with elastic thread is a small price to pay, in my opinion. I've used it to shirr aprons and decorative ruffles and it's worked wonderfully. I'm very happy with it.

I was so excited to buy the Fiskars Ultimate Craft Rotary 12'' Paper Trimmer. I took it out of the package and the first thing I did was try to lift up the Guard Rail. I couldn't figure it out so I had to ask my husband to help. It turns out you have to use both hands to do it. You must use your fingers to press each end of the Guard Rail to unsnap it, because every time you put the Guard Rail down, it snaps into place. Well, this is hard on the fingers. It chipped one of my nails, and I have short nails. If you have long fingernails, forget about this paper trimmer. I bought it to take to Crops (I'm a scrapbooker) but I may just have to lug my big Fiskars Paper Trimmer instead bummer! If possible, test this out before you buy!

Although this did appear to be authentic Cricut vinyl (packaging seemed legit and was unopened), the quality was terrible!

I don't know if it might be extremely old or was exposed to extreme temperatures before it was sent to me??

I can't be sure the reason, but I buy Cricut vinyl ALL the time, and have never had it act this way: it was tearing in my machine, not adhering to surfaces, and I threw it away.

Sadly, I bought TWO ROLLS of this and spent way more than if I had bought it in person at JoAnne or Michael's because I specifically wanted this color.

Very disappointing!

I recently picked up an Epson 3880 and have been experimenting with various Epson media. This paper is stiff enough to handle easily, give you something solid to mat, yet still multi-feed into the printer. The surface is brighter white than most of the watercolor paper I use for my ink drawings, and it creates a very nice print as a result. I don't do photo work, so I cannot comment on that, but stepping up to the ultra premium was definitely worth the price difference for fine art reproductions. There is one small problem with all of the Epson papers I've received so far. The top left corner of every stack of paper has been very slightly crunched inside the box, and the boxes have been undamaged. Apparently, something in the loading or handling process at the factory causes the problem. I notified Epson, but never heard anything back. Since I am matting my prints, which covers this very small defect, it has not deterred me from using their papers, but if you're doing a flush mount without any edge coverage, it may cause you a problem.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Singer's SteamWorks Pro steamer is just amazing, so lets get down to it.

Assembly was fairly straight forward and took about five minutes to unpack everything and get it all put together. So the instructions get an A+.

To start off I filled the tank with filtered water (they recommend distilled water obviously) and slid in onto the base, flipped the machine on, waited about a minute and steam was shooting out so it was time to start steaming!

Using it for the first time, let alone a garment steamer for the first time, was an experience. I started with some drapes that had recently been washed but not ironed. A few passes with the steamer took every last wrinkle out of them! It actually surprised me because infomercials have really ruined my expectations on steamers as they seem to over glorify them.

Next up was a button up work shirt. Using the folding hanger and the garment clip bar to hold the shirt, a minute of going over the shirt made it look like it had been freshly pressed! Just amazing with so little effort.

The SteamWorks Pro steamer works flawlessly on everything I've tried it and it uses VERY little water.

Now there are a few things that I would consider minor flaws.

* First of all there is a LOT of plastic and it's not the heavy duty feeling ABS plastic. The pole clasps that are on the telescopic pole (these are what you use to lock the pole at different heights) are made of plastic and I am honestly waiting for one of them to break and prevent me from collapsing or extending the pole.

* I find the steamer hose a little bit too short and too stiff. When you are using it, the hose does become more pliable when heated up. Not a huge issue.

* The drain plug doesn't completely drain the unit and requires you to tilt it. They really should have designed it better so you didn't have to do this.

* Even when fully collapsed the unit is 32" tall. If you are like me, I have no room to store stuff like this and am resorting to having it just sitting in my room.

* No storage for the accessories. Now I have to find a place to put these bits and pieces.

* No handle, so I am unsure where I can grab to move/pick up the unit. It also doesn't roll on carpet or carpet with rugs very well.

These are all really nitpicky flaws, none of which detract from how well the unit works/functions.

For how well it works and the price, you really can't beat this garment steamer!

Pros:

Works and works very well.

Uses very little water and doesn't saturate the garment.

The accessories and nice, especially the handheld steaming board and space age oven mitt (seriously, it comes with a protective glossy silver oven mitt!).

Easy to operate.

Easy to put together.

Somewhat compact and collapsable.

Produces steam within a minute of turning it on.

Cons:

Fairly bulky, need to find a place to store it when not in use.

Drain plug doesn't completely drain the unit.

Tons of plastic! Only time will tell how well it will hold up to being used.

Has no storage for it's accessories.

I purchased this (kit) after first reading about epoxy clay. I though it was an interesting concept and had some ideas about how to use it. The word kit was misleading. All this is is a two part chunk of clay. While I was kneading it I wasn't even sure it would work because it was sticky in any way, but after 24 hours it did harden and the cabs I had stuck into it were solidly adhered. I rated this product a 3 because of the cost compared to the perceived value.
