Dritz 4-Piece Class 15 Bobbins

This China made metal bobbin has holes too small to fit my old Singer sewing machine's bobbin winder. Beware of this, there are plastic ones out there that still fit. They do fit the sewing machine, if you are willing to wind some other way.

Florene Vintage Travel Posters - Chicago Collage Vintage Travel

Customer Ratings:
List Price: $16.99
Sale Price: Price Unavailable
Today's Bonus: 24% Off

I have recently purchased several different vintage old Chicago posters. The other two I purchased were on heavy paper and were perfect for framing. This one (Chicago Collage Vintage Travel Poster-22x22 inch Quilt Square) is made of quilt rather than heavy paper.
It is a colorful poster showing an El train with clouds and several buildings in the background. It reads "Seeing Greater Chicago by the Chicago Surface Lines." The buildings look old which means this drawing was probably made many years ago.
I have put the previous two posters of Chicago in frames, but I have not decided yet to also frame this poster. They make good conversation pieces and look fantastic hanging on my walls. Since this one is cloth it may look better without a frame.
In conclusion, if you are seeking something different and unique to put on your walls, you may want to consider using old Vintage Chicago posters like this one.

High quality, well made product. I will buy all of these Distinctive presser feet as the price is much lower than my chain fabric and crafts store. They fit both my Singer and White sewing machines. I also bought the book The Sewing Machine Accessory Bible: Get the Most Out of Your Machine---From Using Basic Feet to Mastering Specialty Feet which is great. I had a couple of feet that this book helped me identify and together with my Distinctive feet I am happily sewing again.

Invisible English Plate Hanger Disc--2 Inch (For Plates 4 to 6
Posted by

on Thursday, November 12, 2015
These discs are a thin material and have dried glue on the back. They come with instructions on how to attach them to the plate. Hopefully I followed them well! To get the glue working I got the disc wet and work up the glue with my fingers. I then wait a couple of minutes before attaching the disc to my plate. The next day I hung the plate up! It works. My plates have been on the wall for over a week now no problems.
I didn't expect the disc to involve actual work to put it on, but less than 10 minutes of your time for a plate to hang on your wall forever seems like a good time investment. I also found it a little difficult to get the hook level.
But I'm impressed. I would order these again.
EDIT: 04/2013
Over 3 years later and my plates are still hanging!

SINGER HD-110 Heavy Duty Model Sewing Machine

Uhm...no. Sorry guys, back to the drawing board on this machine. It is absolutely riddled with design flaws and I must agree with another reviewer: Singer is NOT the company it once was, certainly not the company that has been used and trusted in my family for over 80 years. There is NOTHING (I repeat, NOTHING) heavy-duty about this machine. Basically, this is a standard grade home sew machine, repackaged to look "industrial" with a beefed-up, clutch style motor. Though this machine is very fast (as fast as most industrial machines) it does not have the pressure in the presser foot nor the power in the feed mechanism to support the motor speed. With the slightest resistance, the motor will race away, producing stitches while your work remains stationary under the presser foot. Though the variable needle position is handy, it is very unstable. The slightest pull dislodges the needle position (even with the needle at its lowest point)producing uneven stitch length and unpredictable stitch position. Needless to say, top stitching produced by this machine in anything heavier than cotton broadcloth is appalling. Just forget sewing with wool melton or any other cloth that has substantial loft. Because of insufficient foot pressure, this machine skips in heavy fabrics and leaves clumps of unused thread on the bobbin side. And speaking of bobbins...who would use a Type 66 bobbin in what is called a heavy duty machine? Yes, the drop-in bobbin is very convenient but the Type 66 requires constant re-threading. It's simply not a bobbin with high enough capacity for large or heavy jobs. I agree with a previous reviewer: the accessories included with this "heavy duty" machine are a joke. The spot-weld on the general purpose foot broke within the first week of use. It is now held together with crazy glue because I dread calling Singer for a replacement. The so-called zipper foot is a half inch piece of plastic encased in something resembling tin foil. Also broken. When I received my machine, the accessory package, foot pedal, power cords, warranty and owners manual were missing from the box. It took three weeks to get them. The owners manual was back ordered for over 8 weeks. Is no one at Singer nimble-minded enough to scan the manual and make it available as a PDF download? Perhaps the most frustrating thing about this machine is that, at the $200.00 plus price point, it does not include features available on Singer's entry level machine, Singer Simple. The Simple model includes variable foot pressure (which is easily tightened using the enclosed screw driver) or the extra inch of clearance under the presser foot, VERY handy for heavier projects. Honestly, I tried to return this machine two weeks after purchase but neither the supplier nor Singer would take it back. Singer has the worst customer service department I have ever encountered and...well...just skip the website. It is woefully inadequate. Two thumbs down!

Janome Convertible Even Feed Foot Set Low Shank Horizontal

This worked great on my knits, broadcloths, and light denims. I made a t-shirt quilt with it and a child's sleeping bag. Both had high-loft batting that this foot held in place; no slippage on either project. I used it with my Janome DC3018.
Heat Press Transfer Paper Vinyl Film T Shirt Cutter Plotter

I was very impressed with the manner this product was shipped as well as how quickly it arrived. Sadly the gold vinyl is too thin for fabric and completely tore off my shirt as I heat pressed it. Also, it didn't stick very well to the transfer paper making my job of peeling very easy, however, having to apply it to the tee shirt by hand was a lot of work!! I do not think I'd purchase from them again...

Epson Ultra Premium Presentation Paper MATTE (13x19 Inches, 50

on Monday, January 12, 2015
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $76.99
Sale Price: $36.00
Today's Bonus: 53% Off

I recently picked up an Epson 3880 and have been experimenting with various Epson media. This paper is stiff enough to handle easily, give you something solid to mat, yet still multi-feed into the printer. The surface is brighter white than most of the watercolor paper I use for my ink drawings, and it creates a very nice print as a result. I don't do photo work, so I cannot comment on that, but stepping up to the ultra premium was definitely worth the price difference for fine art reproductions. There is one small problem with all of the Epson papers I've received so far. The top left corner of every stack of paper has been very slightly crunched inside the box, and the boxes have been undamaged. Apparently, something in the loading or handling process at the factory causes the problem. I notified Epson, but never heard anything back. Since I am matting my prints, which covers this very small defect, it has not deterred me from using their papers, but if you're doing a flush mount without any edge coverage, it may cause you a problem.

Jumbo Wimshurst Machine, Vanguard II Model with Jumbo 11" Discs

First, I must pay credit to the shippers of this product. Mine arrived minus a small metal sphere that is at the top of the conductor arms. I contacted them via Amazon.com and they immediately sent me a replacement. The product was very well packed, especially for something with lots of oddly-shaped parts, but it's quite possible that the little sphere came loose in transit and went out with the packaging. Whatever happened, they were very responsive.
The device does what it's supposed to do. It creates static electricity and can make a continuous sequence of small sparks. I've managed to produce ones almost an inch long so far, but it will probably do better when the humidity is lower. If you couple this with a few other early electrical devices, such as an electrometer and a couple of pieces of wire, you can explain exactly what's going on.
I bought the Jumbo version after reading other reviews and I'm glad that I did. Highly recommended. Don't expect to outdo Tesla when it comes to spectacle, but you'll have a lot of fun showing this to the kids and grandkids.

These toggle clasps are a good size for a necklace, but far too large for a bracelet. The price was one of the best on Amazon, I can find them cheaper at Walmart (when they have them) so it is always easier to order from Amazon.

Fabric catching in your current plate? Fear no more with the single needle hole, you'll find that you're not pulling fabric out and re-starting your stitching.
