It is amazing how quickly you become dependent on some things. One of the things I seem to be unable to live without is a three-hole punch. I have a lot of binders at home and work where I keep various files, and a three hole punch is essential.
Three hole punches come in a variety of styles. I have tried low quality three hole punches and have been disappointed with how quickly they seem to start binding up, or the cutter gets dull. On some, the fence that sets the size of the paper either can not be tightened, or is so difficult to use as to be impractical.
This three hole punch has punched holes in thousands of sheets of paper and still seems to be as shape as when I first purchased it. While it takes more force to get through a lot of sheets, I am sure that I have stretched the limit of the advertised 32 sheets of 20 lb. paper.
There are many three hole punches available. I know this particular punch costs more than some, but it may be the last three hole punch you ever need if you are buying it for home use. In the office I think you will find it outperforms and outlasts many other hole punches. I recommend this hole punch highly.

Hate pins, just hate having to do all that pinning and then having to stop every few inches to remove them when machine quilting so finally decided to try one of these and am really glad I did. Believe this product to be a little more expensive then some of the others but remember "you get what you pay for". I do use a few pins to anchor all the layers together because I do find it a little difficult to use this tool without having to lift the quilt to get at the bottom but a few safety pins in stragtic places does the trick of holding everything together while you baste the whole quilt with the gun. A few people mentioned the tacks being too long on some products, not with this one, I have not had any issues with shifting of layers using this machine. Would highly recommend trying this out. Oh for those that don't want to add anymore plastic to the environment, the tacks are very small so after cutting them off I just add them to a glass mason jar which should take years to fill.

I bought this saw to aid in my glass work. I have had it for about a month and have used it every weekend for at least 8 hours a day and at least 3 days during the week after work for about 3 hours a day. I have cut several projects with the saw. I loved it till I broke the original blade that came on the unit. So I bought some replacement blades for the saw. I installed the new blade just like the instruction manual said to tracking the blade and all. I started cutting my project about half way threw I thought the blade broke but instead the bottom pulleys edge broke where the blade is riding on the edge of the pulley and making it very thin. I called customer service and told them what was happing so they sent me a new pulley. So I installed the pulley per instructions and reinstalled the blade. It is still doing the same thing. Which is a shame because I love so much about this saw for instance its size it is light weight and compact. I can cut small shapes and odd shapes. I can adjust the height of blade exposed to cut bottles. Maybe I am still doing something wrong but what I have followed all instructions. I have gotten very frustrated with this saw and am looking to purchase a different saw.

I bought this foot because my walking foot was on the fritz. I make and sell cloth diapers, and a walking foot is (or so I thought) integral to sewing with the waterproof PUL fabric I use for the outer part of the diaper. This teflon foot is 100% better than the walking foot, even when it was working properly. The fabric slides through evenly, yet you have very good control. I have a Brother CS-6000i, and this foot snaps right on to the low-shank. No matter what position the needle is in, it doesn't hit the foot at all. It will save me time, too, because I can use it for the construction of the whole diaper instead of switching between my regular foot and walking foot. This is a great product and for an excellent price.

Although a zipper foot came with my machine, it was bulky and I was not able to use it when applying a pocket lining to the inside zipper of a purse for my daughter-in-law. However, with this foot, it went in with a ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZip! ! ! Love it and will use it for all my zipping needs. AND, it came very quickly which is always a priority and in brand new shape. Great item to add to the sewing box.

Fiskars Paper Trimmer 12 Grey
Yes, this is not the fanciest paper trimmer out there. But for $20, I've found it to be reliable and durable. I've been using mine for many years. Maybe the reviewers who say they can't get a straight cut didn't place the paper against the top edge of the cutter? I agree, it would be impossible to get a straight cut if you place the paper in the middle of the cutter. But if you line it up and hold it securely against the top edge, 99% of the cuts are straight. A couple of things I like about this trimmer as opposed to others: I like the ruler that folds out to the side. (I wish it measured up to 12" though. I think it measures only to 11".) And I like the ruler markings on the clear part that holds the blade. (I have other trimmers that don't have ruler marks there.) I don't like having to replace the blades, but at least the blades are readily available. For $20, it's a decent little trimmer.

Fiskars 12-In-One Sewing Tool
This sounded like a really great idea, but there are some issues. The tape measure only goes to 25 inches which really isn't enough to use for a lot of things. The other problem is that the tools aren't as sturdy as what Fiskars is known for. I plan to put this in my travel case, but won't be using it on a regular basis.

After spending at least $25 on several cheap stamped metal "scissors" that were flimsy and would not properly cut thin (or thick) materials, I gave up and ordered a couple of these. They are solid old time "real" scissors that have been forged to the final shape. Cuts thin plastic film easily. Solid metal, no plastic handles to break off.
I guess this is another case of getting what you pay for. These are like your mother's scissors, and that's a good thing.
They were are little stiff or I would have given them five stars.
