Janome 200E Memory Craft Embroidery Machine

This machine is not stitching the designs correctly and I have several years of sewing experience. I also own a Janome sewing machine and overlock so I understand their products. This 200e will add stitches or skip stitches thereby rendering your designs useless. I even tried the pre-loaded Janome designs and had the same issues. I have wasted money, not to mention several yards of material and thread on this machine to rule out user error which is what I was being told on the Janome forum (they never think it is ever a machine issue). I have done all the trouble shooting from Kennys Korner and Janome and nothing worked. Definitely something wrong with the machine. It is DOA! If you look on the forums, others are complaining about this similar issue. I wouldn't even bother with the 350e as it has the same issue. Returning the machine and asking for a refund. Spend the extra money and buy the Brother PE770. The Brother is much more intuitive, plenty of options and a larger hoop size.

I love this foot! I had tried others for my Janome that said they would work with a Janome and they did not. The foot has given me no problems and I have used it a lot. It was a good investment for me!

Bought this system for a 20-employee shop. Was a little tricky to set up because the manual does not say how to do it for the ethernet version (only the usb version). But figured that out, then it was pretty easy to set up and use. Employees like it. We did need to set up a paper system for road people to report their time and mileage, though (the time-trax does not handle those). It would be great if there were a web interface so they could report it from wherever they are.

I was so sick of my sewing machine needles breaking that I asked my sewing instruction to recommend the best--and these are it! Made in Germany, they last so much longer than my other needles, and don't really cost any more. Highly recommended for those who want less frustration and more quality!

I bought this punch for the larger sized hole. It worked well for about a month, then the middle punch started shifting so it would not cut through the paper. Unfortunately, I waited too long for a return, so this item will become a seldom-used two hole punch. Be warned.

Badger has been pretty fickle with quality control regarding the spray regulators, especially the ones with the protective arms (not pictured). I had to buy five to end up with three that fit-the other two would have stripped the threads on my Sotar 2020. At first I thought it was just me, but when some went on easily and others not at all... No, it's them. Otherwise Badger gets my endorsement, but that one problem has me thinking about Iwata next time.

I needed something to replace the broken clasp on an old faux-pearl necklace . This was rather easy to attach to small metal links with a set of small pliers. I wish it were a bit larger or that I had smaller fingers. This would make it easier to see/feel how to fasten around neck, but at least I can wear the necklace again after so many years.

I have worked with Janome (formerly know as New Home) machines for over 20 years. I think I have only seen one jam once! This machine I have owned for 5 years and it has been fabulous. I teach children's sewing lessons in my home, and this machine never jams, is super easy to use, and is great for ALL LEVELS OF SKILL! I have 4 of this model!

I love the speed governor for children, plus, it keeps me tidy too. The big draw for me with the kids is also the fact that the pre-set stitch buttons above the stitch diagram are so quick and easy. You don't have to worry about the particulars of a setting on a stitch, you just go right to it, be it zig zag or straight stitch or overcast, you jump right to it!

The automatic tension setting is another HUGE draw. This thing adjusts the tension by itself. I have rarely ever had to touch the tension dial, and then only for unique project purposes.

The machine will also lock your stitch for you when you start a new seam! You don't have to hit the reverse button and go back an forth if you don't want to. It makes your seam look so much more professional.

The only thing I would say that might even be close to negative, is that make sure if you are going to do an automatic button hole with the automatic foot, that you are fresh on the instructions. It is easy to do a couple of simple things wrong on the set up when you do this, but if you have just read your easy to read section of the manual on this, it is a breeze.

My wife has used this machine to sew several different fabics and even to sew a few patches on a leather and jacket , it works perfect and she couldn't be happier. She had an old singer that was used in a sewing factory, made in 1949, and is really happy with the sewing stitch speed being so much faster on this one. Has sewn every stitch perfect and is really simple to set up and use.Had issues with shipping at trucking co. but was cleared up in one call to customer service at Amazon. Thanks Amazon for great product and service. Jim

If you are looking for a Blazer torch make sure and get the ES1000. Its easier to operate and even has a locking mechanism so you can keep the flame on handsfree.

Trust me, I have 6 of these and been using them for 15 years, the ES-1000 is the model you want. I tried one of the other models and it was hard to start and keep lit.

As a pro mua, I thought this would be great for travel/onsite work. What I found is that it simply doesnt have enough power to spray any reputable brand's ab makeup. some water based worked, but my silicone (preferred) wouldn't even sputter through the gun., save your money.

Janome Memory Craft MC300E Embroidery-Only Machine By The Each

Janome Memory Craft MC300E Embroidery-Only Machine By The Each

I originally got the Brother SE400. The Brother has a far superior feature set and the price is half of this machine. However, the quality of stitching was so poor, especially on smaller designs, that the Brother was returned and I purchased the Janome 300e. I haven't looked back.

Sure I miss the USB and some of the features, such as the auto cut, but I don't miss the broken needles, the birdnests or the unit eating my material. Simply put, the Janome works and works great. After 500k stitches, I have had no issues at all.

It would be nice if Janome came out with another consumer-based embroidery machine that has USB and autocut (under $1000, that is). Until then, you cannot go wrong with the 300e.

Pros

Great stitching, even down to .5" lettering

Quality built

No issues after 500k stitches

Cons

No USB (c'mon it has a PC Card? Are you kidding me?)

Price is sharply higher than the Brother

This pen writes darkly and densely on non-absorbent surfaces, without beading, and then dries almost instantly. Such a combination of properties is amazing to find. It really is a "universal" pen, as advertised.

I needed one of these right away since I am trying to finish a quilt for a charity quilt auction and am on a deadline. I was able to find one yesterday at a newly enlarged JoAnn's Fabric Shop, locally, in spite of the information at JoAnn's website which said that they were not available in the retail stores, only online. I called the local store just to check, and they said they carry them, so I went out and got one. It was over-priced compared to the price on Amazon, but I needed it quick, so I paid and brought it home.

Well, I don't even mind what I paid because it is really a very well-designed, simple but ingenious, sturdy little product! I set it up just from looking at the picture on the box, really easy. Took maybe a little more than five minutes. If you have a rubber mallet to tap the pieces together (gently) that is a nice help.

The long sleeves, that hold the quilt onto the side rails so you can work on it, are a great idea. They hold quite well, but are pretty easy to get on and off without damaging your quilt top. They also hold the batting/backing fabrics taut if you are just a little bit careful of how you put them onto the frame. That is a very nice feature. As you work, feel the underside of the quilt "sandwich" in various areas just to doublecheck that you have no big wrinkles in the batting/backing. You shouldn't have any because of how well this frame holds, but you should ckeck from time to time to make sure. You can even rotate the sleeves a little bit, once you have them on, to tighten up the fabric on the frame.

Mine has rubber grabbers on the feet to keep it from sliding away from you as you work, another good feature. I have not tried any alternate heights since the height that the legs were already on is fine for me. There is a nice-size working area. Just about as far as I can comfortable stretch to reach into the middle.

The PVC pipe is light to move around, but of a good, sturdy construction, and the size of the pipe is very good for putting a quilt over. I agree with another reviewer that the sleeves might be too tight for a very high-loft batting.

You can quilt best sitting on either of the long sides, but you can also quilt sitting on the short sides, as well, if you need too. Two people could easily quilt together using this frame, even four, but two might be best.

This really such a good product! I am familiar with a lot more complex and bulky quilting frames, and they are expensive. I am tying a single-bed sized quilt right now. If you were to do a king-sized quilt, you would have a lot of bulky overhang, which would be awkward, but you could still do it. Right now, I just pile the overhang on my knees under the frame, just to keep it out of the way while I work. You might have to do some serious folding and pinning to contain the sides of a king-size so you could keep that on your knees.

One thing about this frame that I have discovered, is that, once it it set up, you can't get it through doorways. Since it is such a good size for working on though, I can't really complain about that. Just thought I would mention it. Set it up in the room where you want to work. You will probably have to take it apart to move it into another room, unless you have a very wide doorway.

I am so pleased with this quilting frame! Once you figure out how to handle the overhang, which will certainly be harder with larger quilts, it is a breeze to reach under and work on the underside to return your needle to the top.

This is one of those rare products that is actually better than I expected.

This 10 spool thread stand works perfectly and does exactly what it is advertised to do. Although it is totally plastic I found it to be as sturdy and as well constructed as the two thread stand which came with my Baby Lock Ellisimo machine. I installed it and keep it in place on my machine all the time and use it every time I embroider whether I'm stitching with 1 thread or 10 threads. I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend this item.
