I have used this clay before and enjoyed working with it. However, it does dry out quickly even wrapped tightly in plastic wrap and store in a ziplock bag. Today I went to use some unopened clay that I had gotten as a gift and all unopened packages were solid as a rock! So if you purchase this clay make sure you use it right away.

This is a beautiful die set' however, it can be difficult to remove your paper from the die. The filigree edges tend to want to tear away. I had heard several 'ideas' about how to sort this out. I tried Talcum Powder and Wax Paper, but still had difficulty, mostly with the 2nd largest die. The solution was to rub a 'Bounce' dryer sheet over the top of the die (on the cutting edge) before running it through my machine (I have the Grand Calibur). Once cut, I carefully used a 'pokey' (ball-end) tool and quilling tool to punch through all the holes -with the dryer sheet being used, it came out quite easily.

Paasche Trigger For VL Series Airbrushes
Posted by

on Tuesday, August 11, 2015
These new triggers were designed to alleviate the swing breaking that occurs with the little pice of tin between the thread hole and the pressure point. This is great, but passche didn't tell anyone they were doing this! So when I got the trigger it also came with an extra piece and seemed to be for the wrong gun entirely. To get the new rocker to work you have to remove the hose connector portion of the gun and replace it with the provided trigger port. It looks like a ball resting on a divet. The new design works really well and I love the upgrade, but I was two minutes away from sending the whole order back.

Zipper Ease

I've owned this item for over 20 years and bought one for each of my three daughters from Amazon. My Zipper Ease stick is probably about half the size of the new ones. But an application to a stubborn zipper immediately fixes the problem. Every household should have one.

This product was described fantastically, exactly what we wanted ..... but when it arrived, we (and more importantly, our daughter) were very disappointed. The quality of the markets is poor, but what is worse is that the "24 oil pastels" are NOT oil pastels they are just 24 additional crayons with the words "oil pastel" on them. We have seen and used real oil pastels, and these are not oil pastels. Recommend that people steer clear of this product!

I've had this unit for about 6 weeks and it worked well until a head broke today. I called the company thinking that 6 weeks was a little premature and they told me that the unit has a lifetime warranty on everything except the head and that the heads that cost $53.59 for a set of 3 should be replaced approximately every 100 punches. Had I known that I would not have purchased this unit. That is a very considerable addition to the cost of printing that was not disclosed anywhere pre-purchase. Furthermore, $53.59 is crazy, I was expecting them to say $6 or $7 for a set of 3. Yes when it's not broken it works fine, but they need to be more honest about the cost of operating this unit. Had it said anything about that in the description I'd give the unit a 5 but since they ignore it and pretend it isn't an issue they get a 2 and I really should give it a 1.

Red Carpet Studios Hippie Slouch Bag, Orange Patchwork Peace

I ordered this Red Carpet Studios Slouch Bag, Orange Patchwork Peace a couple of months ago. I needed a "go anywhere" bagRed Carpet Studios Hippie Slouch Bag, Orange Patchwork Peace so that I would not need to change purses so often. This is so roomy, and has all of the primary colors, making it easy to match up. It arrived in only a couple of days. It is brightly colored, but not "loud". The price cannot be beat.
I have no idea how it would feel to carry it, because I didn't have it long enough. I love showing off my new purchases, So needless to say, I lost it to an admiring relative. I was showing it off to my 25 year old step daughter, and the look on her face, all but said, "may I have it". She went on and on with the compliments until I asked her if she would like to have it. I barely finished the sentence before "poof", it was out of my hands. I think that she liked it.
So, I am buying another one, which I will fight the urge to show off. It's so practical, inexpensive, and suitable for any age i.e 73 (me) & 25 (step dtr). A fun purchase-not necessary-just fun. I would purchase again from this seller. Quality merchandise, at a reasonable price, and prompt delivery.

I bought this for a counted cross-stitch christmas stocking I am working on. I just love it. It was very easy to put together and it makes it so much easier to stitch. It keeps the material from getting out of shape. I will definitely use it now when I needlepoint also. Good quality and fair price. I would definitely recommend it.

So, I have never used a sewing machine in my life, HOWEVER, my daughter has been trying to sew all sorts of things by hand. Since I have no idea how to teach her to sew, and classes aren't really available within a reasonable driving distance, I decided it was time for a machine for her 8th birthday. This machine is unbelievable! The manual makes everything seem so easy, from loading the bobbin, to changing out and using the various different feet. Our first project was a denim handbag, made from the bottom of a pair of old jeans. We even made the button hole for a cute little button to keep it closed! I can't seem to stop thinking about all of the possible projects that we are going to be undertaking during this hot summer break!
I can't compare this to other machines, of course. But I can definitely say that if you're a newbie and looking for something high-quality but not difficult to handle, this is it.

I used to have a used Top of Line sewing machine and it was fabulous, sewed great, but cost lots of money (even used). Like everyone nowadays budget is a huge concern and it turned out I really don't have as much time to sew as I thought I would. Hubby, kids, etc...all taking my time. :) So I decided to sell my Top of Line machine and purchased this machine instead.
Let me say, this machine has been fabulous. It arrived brand new with all the accessories. The buttonhole foot was in the little drawer that is underneath the machine. This machine has been nothing but a joy to use. It has a great looking straight stitch and for the budget conscious it was a fraction of the cost of my used TOL machine. I do have Amazon prime and spent the extra $3.99 to get it next day and it arrived the next day. Perfect.
This machine is NOT computerized which did take a bit of getting used to for me, and the absolute ONLY thing I really miss is that on some computerized models, the needle can stop always up or always down. People always tout this as a "beginner" machine, but I'm not sure why a really excellent seamstress couldn't/wouldn't use one of these. Maybe my application is different than most. But I find that even on the TOL machine I didn't really use all the extra stitches that much. Then again at this point in my life my projects have to be relatively quick and simple...or they don't get finished.
This machine even has overcasting stitches so you can finish your raw edges and avoid raveling. I LOVE the bobbin on these machines. Has the see through cover and you can see how much thread you have left. Anyway, absolutely no regrets here. It's a nice solid machine, heavy enough so it doesn't bounce around while sewing and the presser foot lifts extra high to allow for thick fabrics to go underneath.

Hewlett Packard includes this paper among their Fine Art Printing Materials. I purchased the paper to try as an alternative to Epson's Enhanced Matte paper. The Hewlett Packard paper holds more ink without "cockling" and holds sharper detail. Color fidelity is excellent. There are several small issues that would be nice to know in advance. 1) at 270 grams, my HP large format printer could not cut the paper. I had to pre-cut and use as sheets. 2)the inks combined with the emulsion produce a "rotting vegetation" smell (not too noticeable until you exit and re-enter the room) 3) heat lamination requires additional time to produce a secure bond 4) the paper holds a very tight curl but responds well to de-rolling. All things considered, I will be re-ordering this paper.

Knitting Needles Set (Interchangeable) - Blue- By Denise Knitting
Posted by
Unknown
on Sunday, July 20, 2014
I use these needles for almost all of my projects, which is why I'm back to order a second set (too many UFO's on the needles--I ran out!). I started with a Boye Needlemaster, and hated it--the connections gradually came unscrewed, and the cables were stiff. The Denise connections have held fast every time for me, and I find the cables very flexible and easy to work with. I use all types of yarn, and have had no trouble sliding it on the needles and cables. I prefer plastic and wood/bamboo needles over metal, so this set works well for me. My husband finds the clicking sound of metal needles annoying, so he also likes my Denise set. The needle points aren't too sharp for me, and I'm a "pusher" (that is, I press the needle tip with my index fingertip each time I make a stitch).
I read that the people who invented the Denise set first invented the Boye Needlemaster, and the Denise set was their second attempt (they corrected the problem of the Boye connections gradually coming unscrewed as you knit). I think they got it right the second time around! I agree with the reviewer who found that the Denise needles weren't her cup of tea--it would be ideal if you could try them out before purchasing. Head over to your LYS and give them a whirl. I can't recommend them highly enough, but to each his/her own!
