At first I was a little wary with all the reviews. Some said it did not work. Some said bobbins were a problem. I waited a month or so and used it extensively before I decided to review it so it would be accurate.

Firstly, the machine is very easy to thread. There is an instructional video on their website:

This was extremely helpful for me as it was the first time I've ever owned/used a sewing machine in my life and did not for the life of me understand the intricacies of threading and tension. Make sure you follow the threading instructions to the key, or the machine will jam. Threading it the right way will solve this problem.

Secondly, the machine has a bobbin winder with an instructional pamphlet on how to get it working (again, a necessity for a sewing dummy like me). I got it working just fine and substituted the bobbins with the thread I actually wanted.

Thirdly, all of the patterns on the machine work. I tested them all out on some scrap fabric as I noticed some low-end sewing machines tend to advertise more patterns than they actually have (such as the Singer Pixie Plus).

The machine is cute and small. If you're looking for a heavy weight substitute for your Singer/Brother, this is not the machine for you. If you're looking to do some simple hemming and stitching with light fabrics such as cotton, this is the machine for you.

If you substitute the bobbins, look for something similar in size and material. This machine uses metal bobbins. There are some generic metal bobbins which are exactly the same sold at JoAnn's. These have worked for me.

So far I have hemmed and sewn two 24 x 24 inch decorative pillow covers and it still works perfectly. I have substituted the bobbins, wound up and prepared new bobbins and threaded and re-threaded multiple times with no problems. If your stitches look like a loose line, check the tension dial on the needle.

To wrap things up, I'm honestly not sure what the fuss is about concerning this machine since it has worked like a dream for me. I highly recommend this for a first sewing machine!

Copic Markers Multiliner Fine Pigment Based Ink, 4-Piece Set

Picked up a set of these up at the local art store, to try something different. I've tried a lot of different brands of lining markers, and these are the only ones that hold a candle to microns. Great quality, nice crisp lines, and the nibs don't seem as fragile as microns. Will definitely buy these again. Seem pretty reliable so far, which is a must have in the work place. Seem to hold true to the copic reputation.

Juki Pearl Line MO-655 2/3/4/5 Thread Serger

I am in love wtih this serger. This is my third serger and it is handling everything I throw at it. The rolled hem is flawless. I especially like the fact that you can raise the presser foot with a little extra push on the lever, just like a regular sewing machine. The needles can be challenging to thread, but the included cheapy needle threader helps a lot. The instruction manual is pretty clear. Great price for top notch machine.

Metal Sprocket Gears by Tim Holtz Idea-ology, 12 per Pack

These are mostly the size of a quarter, some as small as a nickel. They have a nice antiqued finish on one side,the other side is finely textured. Like all of the faux effect things in this line, these are well made and work well for scrapbooking and altered art. They look nicer than the real thing because they were designed with art in mind and newly manufactured.

They aren't flimsy and hold up just fine in most jewelry applications without bending or breaking.

TruForm Armatures: Individual Figure Armature 12"

I received the TruForm 12" armature expecting the plastic bones and hardware to mount to my homemade figure stand. It arrived composed of foam ribs, pelvis and skull, but wire arms, legs and no mounting hardware on the spine. Apparently I misread the description for this one as the models show are the 18", 24" and 36" with the plastic bones and mounting hardware.

Despite how minimal it is, it's quite interesting to look at. Apparently the folks at TruForm took time honing their skeletal craftsmanship to an art as the skull is quite correct to my surprise. The orbits will fit 6 mm BB's, though eyes at that exact scale are actually 3.5 mm. It's a gray, not white foam that makes up most of the armature's bone structure which has a simplified version of the bone shapes themselves. It arrived with one leg slightly longer than the other, but with a little coaxing it evened out. If anything a few modifications can add "bones" to the wire, mostly shaping some plumber's putty (epoxy) or Apoxie Sculpt can help.

What is a bit of a mystery is how to attach hands to the armature at a later time and still be able to mount it on my homemade armature stand. The spine on this model (12") is a doubled up heavy gauge aluminum wire that makes up the neck, arms and legs. It might take some coaxing and modifying to make it like the ones in the picture, but it's certainly doable.

I went ahead and got the 24" model as well, so if don't use the or modify the 12" one, I'll probably keep it as a curiosity.

This is my first review but while I was surfing Amazon for various resin items I saw this product that I have used before and wanted to give my opinion on it.

First off... the price listed here (23$) is VERY expensive... If you live close to a Hobby Lobby, they sell this particular resin in the jewelry isle next to the actual jewelry making tools... however the price at the store is 11$. Not sure if this company is trying to compensate for Amazon Prime 2day shipping? I'd only suggest that if you are going to spend 22 dollars for resin, go ahead and get some normal Clear Epoxy Resin and try that first.. you get much more resin for your money.

That being said, I bought this at Hobby Lobby with a 40% off coupon, so it was really an easy sell for me. The first night I tried it was the first time I've ever used resin. The couple of items I made with it came out fairly good. The smaller bezels came out crystal clear. However I did run into a snag with two bracelets that had multiple bezels. The first bracelet had maybe one or two bubbles total out of the 9 bezels. If you plan on working with this resin (or any resin really) the smaller the quantity the faster it's going to cure. I didn't know this, so the second bracelet I made was not fully prepped... so while I was cutting out the images to place in the bezels the ice resin sat there, and was slowly curing. When it was poured it was very thick, like syrup so there were way more tiny microscopic bubbles in each bezel which made the entire bracelet cloudy and unattractive. (Chalk that up to learning from your mistakes ;D)

The applicator/dispenser is really a joke. I can see why they wanted to make it simple to dispense an equal amount, but in the end it makes things more problematic because if you maybe cut one end wider than the other, you get an uneven mix... I would have preferred two tiny bottles that I could measure myself... it's really not that difficult to do and Amazon has plenty of small graduated measuring cups (100 for 2$) that are very handy.

This resin states very clearly that you should NOT use a heating gun to remove air bubbles. That clear of a warning kind of freaked me out, so I never tried it because I'm not sure why they made a specific point to write that on the instructions.

Curing time is about standard with other resin, and things go much quicker if you just have a simple florescent bulb shining on it (especially during these colder months)

So in short... if you see it in a Hobby Lobby and have a coupon maybe give it a try. Or try to buy the larger quantity bottles sold on here because the price is a rip off for this small amount of resin. Can work beautifully, but not seeing the immediate difference between just standard epoxy clear resin.

First part of cutting table is marked in metric. Since 90% of what I need to cut is from 2" to 5" in size, I had to print out a new cutting guide in Excel making sure it was exactly to size. I then covered it with laminated covering and taped it in place. Other than that, it was excellent. I did not think I needed the laser but got it anyway. It really came in quite handy. Knife blade is very sharp and cuts card stock as if it was 20 pound paper.

Comfort Grip Crochet Hook 10/Pkg

I have these in dark green and while I wasn't aware when I bought them that there are different sizes included I did notice that the packaging indicated they would fit hooks of all sizes up to size K. As instructed, I cut the tip off the first one I took out of the package and put it on an F or G hook and found it slipped back off too easily. Looking more carefully through the grips I found a few smaller than the first one I've tried and started again with the smallest grip size. It does ok on the G, but using one of an identical size (smallest) on a C hook the grip slides around a bit. It doesn't slip all at once, just gradually travels a bit one way or the other. I wouldn't want one to get stuck so that it couldn't move because I hold the hook in the place where the letter is indicated for size, and that's what the grip is covering.

Truly, I'd rather it stay in place until I want to remove it and then remove easily. At one point I had a grip on a hook and it stayed on very well, not moving at all, but when I wanted to remove it doing so was very difficult. I'd also prefer that they be a good bit thicker and more cushioned. Smaller hooks are smaller diameter all over and it seems to put more stress on my hand to use a smaller hook. I saw a tutorial online that showed how to make a cushy grip for a crochet hook using 1/4" plastic tubing and a pencil gel grip. I'm going to hunt up some tubing next and try that instead of continuing to fight with this.

The foam is a nice surface, but it would be better product with a thicker diameter and also with even smaller grips sizes included. I'd be more forgiving about the size and slipping issue if I were trying to get away with putting them on steel hooks, which are in a different category of small. Anything with a letter for the US size is in the standard range and should work according to the package labeling (size K or less). It doesn't appear to be wearing or deteriorating any from use, but I have not used them for very long yet.

The item arrived within a week. It was packaged well and none of the stickers were damaged. I used them for bottle cap magnets and they were perfect for what I had in mind.

Lift the sticker off the backing gradually and gently to avoid creating 'bend' marks. I recommend careful and minimal handling once the sticker is lifted off the backing as it retains fingerprints/marks that may show up on the final product. Do not press down in the center once placed. Gently press around the edges instead. If you want the dome to protrude out of the the cap you will need to raise the image in the bottle cap as these are pretty thin (as mentioned in product description they are 2 mm thick)

Overall I was satisfied with this product and would order them again.
