It is perfect for my machine and delivery was fast. I will use this company again if I need more sewing notions. Sure beats driving for an hour round trip to buy a little sewing light when I can wait and get it at home in a few days.

Check out your sewing manual to get the number of the bulb needed for your machine. It is a tiny little thing and as far as I know there is nothing on it that tells which light bulb to order.

I'm glad I got this handle for my VL series Paasche airbrush. The handle is easier to clean than the plastic handle that the airbrush comes with. It also gives the airbrush a little more heft in the back which makes it balance better in your hand. The cutouts also fit nicely in my hand, I have rather beefy hands, giving me a more secure grasp.

I was really interested in making free form pendants and component with this clay. All over the internet, I kept seeing tutorial after tutorial using the clay in some sort of bezel--which isn't what I wanted.

But I took a chance and ordered it anyway.

I sculpted my pendant, added the chatons, all while working on wax paper. I totally expected that I would have to cut or tear off the wax paper. I left it overnight, and the next morning (less than 24 hours), it came right off the wax paper with no effort!! And it left a nice smooth surface on the back.

This 50g kit seems to last forever! I've made at least 5 pendants and still have at least half remaining.

The only downside--the silver isn't very metallic. More like grey. So I mixed in some fine silver mica powder while mixing, and I also took a makeup brush and brushed it over the surface after applying the Chatons. It created a beautiful finish.

Overall, I'm very happy with this clay, and I'm now ordering more colors!

SINGER 2250 Tradition Basic 10-Stitch Sewing Machine

This is my first sewing machine, the first time I've used one. I love it, and hate to see it's rating so low due to reports of bobbin jamming. None of the 3 complaints mentioned that they even attempted to adjust the upper or lower tension adjustments. My machine jammed up the first time I used it but I read the instructions and adjusted the tensionsproblem solved. Adjusting the lower bobbin tension is a touchy feely operation, but not hard to do. From the instructions"To test the bobbin thread tension, remove the bobbin case and bobbin and hold it by suspending it by the thread. Jerk it once or twice. If the tension is correct, the thread will unwind by about an inch or two. If the tension is too tight, it does not unwind at all. If the tension is too loose, it will drop too much. To adjust, turn the small screw on the side of the bobbin case." There is a screwdriver included to make this adjustment. It clamps the thread, so a thicker or thinner thread could mean an adjustment is necessary. Mine needed to be loosened for the first spool of thread I used. This bobbin case is polished stainless steel, so it's not wearing out soon. I guess the screw might get loose someday, my local Jo-Ann fabric store sells new complete bobbin cases for $2.99. The upper thread tension dial requires a lot of adjustment depending on the work. A sewing machine isn't a hair dryer. They are complex weird monsters and there is a learning curve, no way around it. You've got to tune em like a guitar. This machine is heavy and stable and has a pleasant look and feel. It disturbs me there is no inclusion of oil or lubrication instructons. I doubt it's never necessary, so I got a tube of Official Singer Oil, a very thick oil with a look and smell like melted butter. I recomend it. I've only had my 2250 for a week. 5 stars so far.

Although the colors were bright and vivid the fabric was very thin. Since I framed the quilt square it will be fine but it might not work as well for uses that require sewing or handling the square a great deal.

This controller is for the Janome 5001, so make sure that you order the one with the right connector. It seems identical to the original which I managed to completely wear out. It's made out of metal, and while not fancy, I expect that it will do the job for the next 25 years. After that, I'll pass the machine on to someone else who can use and appreciate it for another season. These things are built like tanks.

It's smart for a couple reasons. Of course, the concept is simple: trap the air between the glass and the room and the air becomes the insulator. But it's all in the implementation and that's where this product shines. It uses double-sided tape that isn't so sticky that it will pull of paint when removed. Have to get that right and they did. The real attention to detail is the film material. When installed, it better not look tacky. So they formulated the material to shrink just enough to tighten it up to pull out the hard and soft wrinkles, but not pull away from the tape! Don't worry if the tape and the film lie on perpendicular planes. The film won't pull off when it shrinks. It's resilient enough not to overcome the film-to-tape adhesion. Again: brilliant.

It is also optically clear, not at all diffusive. That is another absolute must. I was simply amazed at how this product brings all this together into a cheap, effective solution to drafty old windows. Someone reviewed that the tape wouldn't stick to their window frame. Probably a surface prep issue. In my application the paint was new and firmly bonded. I even had strongly curved surfaces to tape over. I found that heating the tape with a hair dryer helped conform it to those surfaces. Directions don't address that issue and for flat surfaces it's not one. This is a great product!
