When I took out this kit from the box, it was already ripped and the bobbins came tumbling out. Then when I used the bobbins in my machine, it kept jamming. I realized that the bobbins were wound too loosely so I rewound each one on my sewing machine.

After doing so, I saw that the bobbins were less than half full. It seems to me that they wound the bobbins loosely on purpose so that it would appear to be full. Save your time and money to buy a better kit!

SINGER Sewing Gauge, 6-Inch

This is a regular hem gauge, measuring, and marking tool. One is just the same as another, this particular version is a tried and true staple which has been used by hundreds of thousands of sewers over the years. It is nothing special, it is an ordinary tool.

Singer 3116.RF Simple 18-Stitch Mechanical Sewing Machine

The reason I gave the Simple Singer 3116 a one star was because there is no zero star. I bought a brand new one. Do not waste your time or your hard earned money. I would be embarassed to put my name on anything that hookie. Chinese made. The bobbin jammed over and over and over the first day I started to use it. Singer said, " it might be off timing ". It's brand new for crying out loud. The instruction video was superb. But that's where it ended. The product is really frustrating.

Let me tell you about the bobbin. It sits in a half moon shaped depression that you slide a " hook " into and then while holding that easily disgorged piece with one hand you have to slide the race over all that and then clip " dog ears " over each side to hold it in place. Then you take the bobbin and slide it in to the center post. I can't think of anything more prone to failure than that design except perhaps just tossing those parts in there without even dog earring them.

From the Singer Customer Svc CTR apparently this is not new to them. They said the electronic units do not have " this problem ".

Hope this helps with your decision making. I wish I had seen this prior to buying mine.

Mixed feelings on this kiln. One the plus side it is really easy to use and much less expensive then paragon kiln. I bought kiln in December and four months later the cord burnt out, Aamco has good customer service and they mailed new cord without problem no charge, but in another four months that cord burned out. I'm waiting for another cord in mail as we speak.

I bought this because I decorate cakes with fondant and gumpaste. It's very hard to find the right tools in my area so I have to improvise. I use this tool to create different edible objects for cakes.

It's easy to use but a little time consuming. The press is like a screw...instead of just pumping the material out, you have to twist, and twist, and twist. The discs are great; you can create so many things!!

It is hard to clean, but my standards of clean are probably a little higher since it's being used for food.

Overall, I would say it is a good investment for me.

'Washable' is a misleading adjective for this product, because it states on the back of the box that it is "formulated to wash from skin, but not from clothing or porous surfaces. Staining is possible on synthetic fabrics."

I tested the Prang metallic pens against another brand, and they are:

less expensive

sold in packs of six colors, as opposed to five for the more expensive brand

produce a broader, more uniform line

dry more quickly on glossy surfaces such as photographic paper

Both brands are advertised as archival, and both can be used on dark or light paper, but I would definitely recommend the Prang Metallic markers.

Hot Melt Trigger Glue Gun (FREE 2 GLUE STICKS WITH EVERY GLUE

This little glue gun is a wood worker's secret weapon. Sometimes when you are doing fit ups, especially on small boxes, clamps are in the way. Thats when the hot glue is the answer. Just a small dab and you have a tough, but temporary bond. I use it a lot to hold lids to the box while I rout them to that "perfect" fit. Then just a tap with a dead blow hammer and they come right off. Doesn't take much to hold them on and that makes for very easy cleanup. Use hot glue to hold those small hinges in place while you predrill the screw holes. I have even "hot" glued pieces to the bench that were too small to clamp, so I could carve, chisel or file a profile on them. This is a very versital tool and I highly recommend every wood worker have one.

I received my order in four days which was sooner than expected from BT Enterprises Inc. This was very well packaged and protected. I mention this because of the one other review which states they didn't receive their order in a timely manner.

This HP paper is wonderful paper (and I do use HP ink and have a very old all-in-one HP printer) and I have used it for years now. The photos are amazing! This 'Advance' paper (they also have Premium, etc.) dries very quickly and I have witnessed no fading ... at least over the years that I have used it.

If you can get this product at a discounted price, buy it!

This is an OK device if you are inside an office all day. But for a working man it has two severe drawbacks. Number one, it is extremely sensitive to moisture. If you start to sweat, the sweat runs right down the neck loop, into the device and it dies. If you go outside on a very humid day, it dies. Why can't it be made moisture resistant like my Phonak hearing aids? Number two, it does not work well in a noisy environment. If you are streaming audio, it turns up the sensitivity of the hearing aids so if you are riding in a truck or in a machine shop, the environmental noise drowns out the streaming. This is the exact opposite of how it should be. If you are getting a phone call or using it to listen to music, it should turn down the sensitivity of the hearing aids so that you can hear what you are streaming. For a guy like me that drives a truck and works hard outside it is just not worth the price or the hassle. I have had to return mine for repair 3 times in the year that I have had it due to moisture.

Maybe "I love it" is hyperbole, but these work perfectly and cost next to nothing. At first I wanted metal bobbins, but it turns out the clear plastic makes it easier to see what color's wound on which one when they're stored.
